At the end of every year, the Lord gives me a “word” for the upcoming new year, and this year the word is “Build It.” When the Lord first gave me this word I was super excited because it is simple, powerful, and right up my alley.
Moving into 2025, I have never been in a better place for moving and advancing in everything that God has for me; even my family is in the best place for us to move as one family unit straight toward what the Lord wants in this upcoming year. Our church is in the best place it has ever been, our ministry is in the best place its ever been, and this gets me so excited because the Lord is saying that this is our year to “Build.”
This is a time and a season where we are called to build everything that the Lord has placed in our hearts to build whether it be a business, a ministry, or something creative, God is ready for the builders to arise. We are never waiting on God, he is waiting on us, so we should go full throttle into this new year, encouraged and ready to build for the kingdom of God.
When you get a word from the Lord, run with it, steward it, and don’t hesitate because God is ready to place an increase on those who are obedient and build what he has called them to. For 2025, watch for people releasing words about building, moving forward, and advancing because now is the time for the next great move of God.
In Proverbs 24:3 it says, “Wise people are builders — they build families, businesses, communities. And through intelligence and insight, their enterprises are established and endure.” This scripture couldn’t explain it any better, it says that when wise people create and build things, they endure. What had God placed on your heart to build in 2025? Well, whatever it may be, the Bible says it will endure. This should build your faith through the roof! This year is about more than just “this year.” What we build in 2025 will become our legacy and it will be established and enduring in Jesus name.
The Lord recently gave me a word about foundations, and I believe that it ties right into this word for the new year. Whatever you build in 2025 is going to become a foundation to be built upon in years to come. Increase is not coming, it’s already here, but it is up to us to receive that increase and build with it.
In 1 Corinthians, it talks about how no eye has seen and no ear has heard the things that God has prepared for us who believe. What God is calling us to build in this upcoming year is unlike anything we have ever seen before. What would happen if all the kingdom-minded people move forward and advanced in the same year? There is an urgency to make sure that you are in the right position to build so you don’t miss what God is doing in this season.
