Are You Willing?

Are you willing to bear My cross with Me?

Posted on

Are you willing to lay it down, my child,
And trust My plans for you,
And know there’s nothing left to do,
Though rewards seem sometimes few?

Are you willing to suffer pain and loss
And share in all I do
And bear the pain and suffering, child,
Just like I did for you?

Are you willing to suffer silently
And lay it down by Me
And trust My best and do with less,
Instead of vanity?

Are you willing to bear My cross with Me
And share in things unseen,
Or go your way and love the world
With all its pomp and bling?

Are you willing, child, to lean on Me
And share My agony,
And wait awhile and rest in grace,
And share My victory?

Are you willing, child, to bear My Name
And walk this way with Me,
Or go your way, and love the world
And miss out on unity?

Are you truly willing to bear My Name
And walk with Me alone,
To hear My voice above the noise
And know Me as your own?

“And he said to all, ‘If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.” Luke 9:23-24

“That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; if somehow I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.” Philippians 3:10-11
