Now it came to pass on the next day that Moses went into the tabernacle of witness, and behold, the rod of Aaron, of the house of Levi, had sprouted and put forth buds, had produced blossoms and yielded ripe almonds. Numbers 17:8
People are very often jealous of other people who appear to be successful. They are wanting what the other person has. In an attempt to get what that something is, many strive to get favor with the person.
Extra favor is often given to only a few people, but not every person gets it. Favor is given often to those who are chosen or have earned it, not just everyone.
The Israelites had complained about Aaron, so there was a test given to see who had God’s favor. Aaron’s staff was the one God had chosen. It had not only sprouted, but budded, blossomed, and produced almonds.
Many believers are willing to do a part of God’s will, but not with their whole heart. They will do the very minimum work required, just to look as though they are good and serving God. This is done to gain favor with God and man, but not out of love of God.
God works in and through the lives of those who choose to believe in Him, obey Him, and serve Him with their whole heart. Once a person chooses to do these things, the favor of God begins to rest upon Him. God will go above and beyond the bare minimum in blessing the work the believer is doing, because he is willing to do His desire.
Those who are doing God’s will with a whole heart will see His favor rest upon their work. Success and growth will appear greater than could ever have been expected. It will sprout, bud, blossom, and produce fruit in abundance in whatever area of service the person is in.
God has a work for you to do on this earth. It is a job that is unique to you, and only you are the one to do it.
Strive to serve God with all of your heart, mind, soul, and strength. Do the work of God out of love for Him and people.
As you give one hundred percent of your life to doing His work, you will see God’s hand of favor rest upon you. The work will be fruitful, multiplying with abundant blessings. God wants you to succeed in the work He has you doing.
Today, I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know the work God has for you to do; that you will do the work of God with all of your heart; and that you will see God produce abundant fruit through your work.
