So God said, “Let the earth sprout [tender] vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit according to (limited to, consistent with) their kind, WHOSE SEED IS IN THEM upon the earth”; and it was so. The earth sprouted and abundantly produced vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their kind, and trees BEARING FRUIT WITH SEED IN THEM, according to their kind; and God saw that it was good and He affirmed and sustained it. Genesis 1:11-12
Some time ago the Lord asked me the question below. He said, “Where do you think your seed comes from that I provide you with?” Of course, I thought I knew, but when God asks you a question, I’ve learned to answer, “Oh Lord You alone know.”
So He said, “Your seed comes forth out of the Fruit of My Spirit within your Life. It doesn’t come through your giftings, your revelations, or even from the realms of the Glory (all of which I love), but it comes out of the mature fruit of the Spirit that I have manifested in your life.”
The Holy Spirit, through intimate relationship with God, has been taking us through a process of maturing the Fruit of the Spirit in our lives as we continue to draw closer and become more personal with God.
“But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [that can bring a charge].” Galatians 5:22-23
As this is taking place, that Mature Fruit, carries in itself the Seeds to bear after its own kind. But in order for it to do so it must disconnect from the original plant (us), and give up its life in the process, in order to release what is maturing upon the inside of itself.
Those who have matured in the fruit of the Spirit and consistently die to themselves are the ones who begin to bring forth the mature seeds, which when planted into the lives of others, go deep, become rooted in them, sprout, and begin to bear fruit as well.
While the witness for Jesus Christ is given through the gifts and the outward manifestations of the Spirit upon our lives, it is that which becomes born of God that comes from the Seed (sperma) of God, born of mature fruit inside the individual’s life who is manifesting that witness.
God is going to manifest your SEEDS from where your FRUIT has matured inside of your life and cause those seeds to take root in the lives of others, thus causing them to come into a place of intimacy with Him that they’ve never had before. So as those Seeds Grow and mature in them through their relationship with Jesus Christ, the same process will take place in them as well.
Draw close to Jesus this morning, not because you are seeking gifts, but because you Hunger and Thirst for Him. From that place, the Holy Spirit will begin to work upon the soil of your heart, and out of it will emerge the Fruit from which He will bring those Seeds of Life to deposit in others!
Father, mature our Giftings, make us Fruitful, and Cause us to become those Living Witnesses (alive to You and dead to self) who display Your Glory and Move by Your Power so that the world may know You just like we do, in Jesus Mighty Name!
