What a year it has been! Has anyone else had a huge year?
Reflecting on the last 12 months, I am compelled by the image of the door. Many prophets spoke into this year as the year of the open door. This was aligned with Isaiah 22:22:
“The key of the house of David I will lay on his shoulder; so he shall open, and no one shall shut; and he shall shut, and no one shall open.”
I’m not one for prophetic fads, and a lot of this is just hype for social media purposes. But I must say, sitting here on the morning of 12/22/22, it’s been a year of open doors for sure. I’ve also had many doors slammed firmly in my face.
If we are going to step through the open door, we must first turn away from the closed one. This has been my year. For many of you, I suspect it has been the same.
As we approach 2023, I’ve dreamed of a wide, open road. It looks like an ancient path. It’s very peaceful.
However, on this road are old enemies with the same worn-out intimidation tactics. Don’t be deterred from the path He’s set before you. He is fighting for you, and the path is clear.
Whatever is on your peaceful path for 2023, remember the Lord will raise up a standard against your enemy. Stay the course!
“So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun; when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.”
Isaiah 59:19 NKJV
I speak blessing over your 2023 in the name of Jesus. Remember His blessing is rich and adds no sorrow to your life (Prov.10:22).
There is a peaceful path, an ancient path, laid down for you to walk on from the foundations of the earth. Do not fear, little one.
