When I saw this quote in my feed, I got the Holy Spirit pause.
You know the pause, where He whispers…
“This. Reflect and meditate on this.”
This is it.
This is what Jesus wants.
Could you imagine boarding a ship, and the captain is simply punching the clock and waiting on his 401k to become fully vested?
No, no, no!
You want a captain who yearns for the sea. Who lives for adventure. Who respects the depth, breadth, and vastness of the ocean.
You want a captain who knows the tide. Who can see how it moves by the position of the moon. Who stands in awe that He can guide a 60,000-ton cruise ship upon the waters.
You want a captain with passion.
A captain with purpose.
A captain who BURNS for the ocean and all that is in it!
Beloved….
How much more does Jesus want this for His Bride?
How much greater is His love for those made in His Image?
Beloved…
How much greater should OUR PASSION be for HIM?
He wants people who yearn for MORE OF HIM.
Who live for grand, glorious salvation adventures.
Who respect the depth, breadth, and vastness of His Word!
He wants people who know THE GOAL.
Who SEE HIM in all of creation.
Who stands in awe that THEY WERE SAVED!
He wants people who YEARN for what HIS HEART YEARNS FOR.
He wants a PEOPLE WITH PURPOSE.
HE WANTS A BRIDE WHO IS RADICALLY, WILDLY, UNABASHEDLY….and RELENTLESS IN THEIR LOVE AND PURSUIT OF HIM!
Don’t punch the time clock on life, muddling through until you get to glory.
It’s not a “To Do” list.
It’s not a rule book.
It’s not a Sunday Sermon.
IT IS HIM! THE KING OF GLORY!
SET THE WORLD ON FIRE WITH YOUR PASSION FOR HIM AND THE PEOPLE HE WANTS TO BRING HOME!
LORD, I YEARN FOR YOU!
