Wisdom is Crying

As I opened my eyes on October 5, I heard the phrase “WISDOM IS CRYING ALOUD”
spoken in my hearing by the Holy Spirit. As soon as I heard this phrase my mind began to reflect upon the Book of Proverbs:

“Wisdom cries aloud in the street, she raises her voice in the markets; She cries at the head of the noisy intersections [in the chief gathering places]; at the entrance of the city gates she speaks: How long, O simple ones [open to evil], will you love being simple? And the scoffers delight in scoffing and [self-confident] fools hate knowledge? If you will turn (repent) and give heed to my reproof, behold, I [[b]Wisdom] will pour out my spirit upon you, I will make my words known to you.” Proverbs 1:20-23

While there is a lot of skepticism about Who exactly Wisdom is, (Partially because Wisdom is presented here as a feminine figure), Paul said in the New Testament that he always prays for the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ to grant us a SPIRIT OF WISDOM AND REVELATION into the deep and intimate knowledge of Him (Ephesians 1:17).

While there are many who will completely trip over the gender issue above, Wisdom should be one of the most important (and sought after) things for every Christian Believer, because while Revelation is extremely important to us, Wisdom TEACHES US HOW TO APPLY THE REVELATORY REALM PROPERLY.

While Revelation opens our eyes to see greater aspects of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, Wisdom avails us of the ability to take those REVELATIONS and transform them into APPLICATIONS for us!

Knowledge TELLS me how it works, while Wisdom SHOWS me how it works! This is one of the reasons why there are the Gifts of the Spirit called Word of Knowledge and Word of Wisdom, because while one imparts God’s Knowledge to the other one Imparts His Wisdom used to apply that knowledge to my life or the lives of others around me.

So what is Wisdom Crying and Why? Wisdom is crying to those who do not possess her insights and do not seek her out. A generation without Wisdom is a generation without a future! If you read further on in Proverbs 1 it says:

“When your panic comes as a storm and desolation and your calamity comes on as a whirlwind, when distress and anguish come upon you.” Proverbs 1:27

Wisdom keeps you from the place of panic, storm, desolation, and calamity because Wisdom can give you the insights to help you avoid such things! I believe that the SPIRIT OF WISDOM IS THE HOLY SPIRIT FOR US because, in the New Testament, He is the Resource (and the Ultimate Source) that Jesus Christ has given us for everything that we need that pertains to Life and Godliness.

“IF ANY OF YOU IS DEFICIENT IN WISDOM, LET HIM ASK OF THE GIVING GOD [WHO GIVES] TO EVERYONE LIBERALLY AND UNGRUDGINGLY, WITHOUT REPROACHING OR FAULTFINDING, AND IT WILL BE GIVEN HIM.” James 1:5

God’s Wisdom is an absolute must for this generation and this time in history. Wisdom is Crying out to us to listen to what the Holy Spirit is declaring to us as a generation because while Revelation Knowledge is being sought after in great quantities, God’s Wisdom is key to applying that Revelation Knowledge to each of our lives.

While Knowledge is extremely important to receive from the Hand of God, the ability to apply that Knowledge is just as important for us, otherwise that knowledge is completely useless to us.

Listen to the Wisdom from God this morning, and if you don’t feel as though you have it, Ask the Holy Spirit to Give it to you! As His Wisdom comes, so will His Power to Apply His Knowledge to you and Transform your life as a Result!
