Where the Shekinah Glory Dwells

We must enter this Sacred Place with clean hands and a pure heart.

Most of you have experienced times of refreshing as you went through seasons of hearing God’s Voice on a regular basis.

There were times of dialoguing with Him when He communicated with you in ways that no one else could possibly understand.

You received revelation by The Holy Spirit, and you sensed His manifested presence in extraordinary ways.

You may have had times when your eyes were opened to the supernatural realm, and you saw visions, angels, or even demons. You recognized the still, small voice of The Holy Spirit and discerned His ways.

But then you came into a dry season, and God seemed so distant. The enemy wreaked havoc, and you felt as if The LORD had abandoned you.

You cried out as King David did in Psalms 13:2 (TPT):

“How much longer must I cling to this constant grief? I’ve endured this shaking of my soul. So how much longer will my enemy have the upper hand?”

Why does this happen? And why doesn’t every believer experience His glory in such a profound way?

The LORD does bring us through wilderness times, but then there are times when we have to fight through the battles.

As I was reading the book of Exodus this week, The Holy Spirit revealed something powerful to me.

Moses went up on Mount Sinai for forty days straight and had a face-to-face encounter with God.

He was given The Ten Commandments, but The LORD also told him to build a Tabernacle so that He could dwell among His People.

He gave him intricate details on how to build the structure and every article inside of it. Every single thing in the Tabernacle represents something about Jesus Christ as the High Priest, and it has so much prophetic symbolism for us, His People.

There are hidden treasures in this book, and as you read it, you will discover the typology of the body of Christ passing through the Outer Courts and then going through the process of cleansing and repentance.

We no longer need to sacrifice animals because Jesus has become a sacrifice and shed His blood for us.

We then come into the Inner Court, which is the Holy Place of His presence. This is where we commune with Jesus.

Our prayer, praise, and worship go up before Him as a fragrance of incense. We must keep our lamps burning at all times.

At that time, only Aaron, the High Priest (who represented Jesus), was able to enter into the Holy of Holies once a year on the Day of Atonement.

As children of God, we now have access (spiritually) into The Holy of Holies because the veil has been torn, and we are invited into this place by our divine Creator.

This is The Most Holy Place; The Kodesh Hakodashim. This is the place where the Shekinah Glory dwelled and the place where we can now meet with God at a greater level than we have ever known.

But we must enter this Sacred Place with clean hands and a pure heart.

This is what The Holy Spirit showed me this week. The LORD directed Moses in Exodus 30:25-31,

“You shall make from these a holy anointing oil, an ointment compounded according to the art of the perfumer.”

He instructed him to anoint everything in the Tabernacle, as well as Aaron the High Priest, and his sons.

Aaron and his sons typify the ministry of Christ and the Church. It was to be a holy oil throughout the generations to come. It was a sacred oil and was not to be imitated or duplicated.

Verses 32-33 say:

“It shall not be poured on man’s flesh; nor shall you make any other like it, according to its composition. It is holy, and it shall be holy to you. Whoever compounds any like it, or whoever puts any of it on an outsider, shall be cut off from his people.”

This holy oil is symbolic for The Holy Spirit.

Note that it says it is not to be poured on man’s flesh. This is symbolic of ministering in the flesh rather than the leading of The Holy Spirit.

The apostle Paul rebuked the Church of Galatia because they started out in The Spirit but then began doing things by their own effort.

The gifts and callings of God should not be counterfeited. The ministry of The LORD is Holy. It is not to be mocked or fabricated in any way, and neither should there be any competition in the body of Christ.

In verses 35–38, The LORD said:

“You shall make of these an incense, a compound according to the art of the perfumer, salted, pure, and holy. But as for the incense which you shall make, you shall not make any for yourselves, according to its composition. It shall be to you holy for The LORD. Whoever makes any like it, to smell it, he shall be cut off from his people.”

The incense is symbolic for prayer and worship. Worship to The LORD is to be holy.

No man or woman should be worshiped, and prayer should not be used for human attraction or to give glory to man.

Anointing with oil in the bible represents someone being called out, chosen, and anointed for ministry.

Some of you are trying to obtain God’s Approval and favor by works. You are trying to gain momentum in your spiritual life in your own effort.

A name, a title, or a diploma will not increase revelation nor promote any one of us in the Kingdom of God.

We could only understand spiritual things and learn to hear His Voice through a personal relationship which is fellowship with Jesus in the Holy of Holies.

The LORD is inviting you to come back to that place of rest. It is the place where His anointing is released, and you will encounter Him in a fresh new way.

As you enter this place of fellowship, you will find shalom even in times of distress because He is present, and His Shekinah Glory is in this secret place.

“Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water,” Hebrews 10:19-22.
