When All Seems Lost

God will lift you from this place of despair, and you will know how much He has cared for you in these troubling times.

For those of you who have suffered loss for doing good, God has a plan to restore what was taken from you. But first, you need to understand this truth because it will give you hope when hope is nowhere to be found, “Humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time, he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you” (I Peter 5:6-7).

God has a “right time” to reveal His plan of restoration. In His perfect timing, He will lift you from this place of despair, and you will know how much He has cared for you in these troubling times.

“So, after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation” (I Peter 5:10).

When you feel loss – God will restore what’s been taken.
When you feel weak – God will hold you up in your weakened state.
When you feel powerless – God will empower you to move forward.

A special grace of God has been uniquely tailored to fit your life in these difficult times. Before these events take place, we cannot understand or even imagine the power of His grace before the loss occurred. It will be a special gift to you in your time of need. You have never been alone, even though it feels like you were alone and without hope. God is with you. He is your faithful firm foundation.

There is a reason for these words of encouragement: “My purpose in writing is to encourage you and assure you that what you are experiencing is truly part of God’s grace for you. Stand firm in this grace” (vs. 12).

Your only hope when all seems lost is to stand firm in the expectation of the gift of God’s grace, believing that He will show you a new way forward – a way that only God can reveal.
