Warfare, Witchcraft, or Wounded Friend

Those who intentionally set a snare for the righteous will fall into their pit.

We are currently in a spiritual season of war. The attacks seem to come from every direction, and deception is increasing. The enemy uses our weaknesses and vulnerabilities to trap us in deception, harming us and those around us.

How do we differentiate between calculated witchcraft that preys on us and a misled saint who prays for us?

The misled ones speak disfavor against us due to being deceived and confused, believing that they have our best interests at heart. These wounded friends become blinded by fear and enter into erroneous discernment. The enemy uses these situations to break covenant and bring division but the people involved do not intentionally want to bring harm.

We should pray for them and not abandon the relationship. Trust that the Lord will break in on our behalf and theirs. These people will repent, and the relationship will be restored because they never intended to harm us.

There is so much grace and mercy for well-meaning saints, even in their deception.

Witchcraft, sorcery, and rebellion against God’s desires for us and others are vindictive and calculated in their strategy to take us down. They operate in witchcraft according to the scriptures, intentionally finding our weak points and greatest desires to manipulate our emotions, will, friends, family, and God-given assignments. According to 1 Samuel 15:23, they are in rebellion against God and have entered into the sin of witchcraft.

This can operate openly or through wicked “prayers” or conversations. Remember our words have power, will we be at a landing strip for the enemy, or God?

Always Forgive.

Forgive people operating in witchcraft quickly so the curse can not land! Also, pray for mercy and for their freedom, but also that the enemy will flee from us in seven ways. We should pray over ourselves, break the curses, and expect the curse to be “returned to the sender” so that they will repent, and their soul will be saved.

We must know the difference between friend and foe because this determines how we war. “The weapons of our warfare are not carnal.” We are all vulnerable to deception, so it is essential to stay in the word and prayer to keep our minds clear.

Hear this: there is so much grace and mercy for well-meaning saints, even in their deception. However, those who intentionally set a snare for the righteous will fall into their pit. We are in a time of vindication from the Lord. “Whoever digs a pit will fall into it, and a stone will come back on him who starts it rolling” (Proverbs 16:7).

In a season of war, we must know what is coming from the enemy and what is friendly fire. Stand in the Lord’s council, hear from Him, and act according to His wisdom.

Remember Jesus has already won the battle. Stay on the winning side.
