Undoing What the Devil Has Done

One of my favorite verses in the Bible is 1 John 3:8

“[But] he who commits sin [who practices evildoing] is of the devil [takes his character from the evil one], for the devil has sinned (violated the divine law) from the beginning. THE REASON THE SON OF GOD WAS MADE MANIFEST (visible) WAS TO UNDO (DESTROY, LOOSEN, AND DISSOLVE) THE WORKS THE DEVIL [HAS DONE].” 1 John 3:8

Many people talk about destroying the devil and his kingdom, but while Jesus Christ came to introduce humanity back into the Kingdom of God, He was also sent to UNDO everything that the devil has done to the kingdoms of this world.

The battles between kingdoms were never supposed to be against flesh and blood, (Ephesians 6:12), but it has been the Spirit of God against the demonic realm. The demonic realm has affected the physical realm in enormous ways because of the fall of Adam and Eve, so Jesus Christ had to come as the Last Adam, (1 Corinthians 15:45), in order to take back what Adam and Eve lost in the Garden. He began to UNDO the damage the devil had done, not only to the physical realms of the earth but also to everyone who dwells in it.

The Creator of the World returned to the world to take it back from the enemy and HE NEVER LEFT it again! While Jesus Christ died, rose again, and then ascended back to Heaven, He introduced the MOST POWERFUL BEING in all of the Universe to live in us as Believers in order to continue the work of Restoration that Jesus Christ has started. Now He wants to use the Body of Christ to do the Restoration, (John 14:16).

While Jesus Christ has completely stripped away the devil’s power and authority, (Colossians 2:15, Luke 10:19), the enemy still wants us to believe that he has power and authority over us as Believers. This is the biggest bluff in history as far as I am concerned. We have been given the Powerful Presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives, to not only Undo what the demonic realm is doing but to cast demonic forces out of the lives of those that they’ve trespassed upon (Matthew 10:8)!

Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are at work on the inside of your life right now. Because of your personal surrender to Him, He’s UNDOING everything that the enemy has meant for evil against you, both on the inside and the outside of your life. While this process will take time, and also many levels of personal surrender to Jesus Christ, IT IS  HAPPENING EVEN NOW.

The next time the enemy attempts to tell you that he has authority over your life somehow, REBUKE HIM IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS CHRIST AND CAST HIM OUT! THE ENEMY CAN NOT UNDO WHAT JESUS CHRIST HAS DONE AND HE CAN NOT TAKE AWAY WHAT THE HOLY SPIRIT HAS GIVEN YOU! Don’t allow the lies of the enemy to make you doubt God’s Power or Ability on your behalf because if God is for you then who can be against you?
