The Black Pill

Exhausted from the disappointment of the fraud election, many have simply given up.

In the movie, The Matrix, the main character, Neo, is given a choice between a red pill and a blue pill by rebel leader Morpheus. The red pill represents an uncertain future. It would free him from the enslaving control of the computer-generated dream world and allow him to wake up to the real world, but he is warned that living the “truth of reality” is harsher and more difficult.

On the other hand, the blue pill represents a beautiful prison—it would lead him back to ignorance, living in confined comfort without want or fear within the simulated reality of the Matrix. As described by Morpheus: “You take the blue pill…the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill…you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.” Neo then chooses the red pill and joins the rebellion.

In political terms, to be ‘red-pilled’ means that you have awakened to, and rejected the leftist/socialist matrix. You choose to fight for freedom.

The Left is building a beautiful prison. They are building it for your children and grandchildren. The secular progressives, Marxists, along with global corporations, insist that giving up your rights, your freedom of speech and your gender identity is for the greater good—in other words, for socialism.

But there is a notable difference between a computer-generated life of comfort and ease, because a movie can keep an illusion going indefinitely. Socialism begins to backfire the moment it is installed. The Leftists and globalists cannot create a beautiful prison that stays beautiful. Socialism universally creates decrepit, decaying communities. Hellholes, where dignity and hope go to die. Remember: Socialism has killed over 100 million people since it was unleashed on humanity.

But the most dangerous pill is not blue. It is black. Here is what Terry Schilling wrote in the Federalist about the black pill: “A related new term has emerged and quickly gained popularity on the right: “black-pilled.” While a red-pilled person typically finds conservatism unexpectedly, through a certain book or a particular professor, taking the “black pill” is fully intentional. Rather than prompting an exit from the matrix of leftist groupthink, however, taking the black pill means totally disengaging.

“Black-pilled Americans have concluded politics and culture are so corrupt there is no longer any use in trying to save them. Think of the hundreds of thousands of Republicans who stayed home during the U.S. Senate runoff elections in Georgia. Instead, they believe the only viable course of action is to pull the plug and fade to black.”

The greatest disaster is that many American Christians are also fading to black. They do not want to hear anything about warfare against the evil tide that is currently flooding America. This is a disaster. And if it is not reversed immediately, America will be lost forever.

The church is the last hope to stop the cancer of wokeness.

In the spirit-filled community, the black pill is prophetic fatigue. Exhausted from the disappointment of the fraud election, many have simply given up. Worse still is that the prophetic itself has turned into an impotent expression of flattery and denial.

And, too many pastors simply yearn to make church back into the harmless club it was before the pandemic.

Schilling goes on, saying about Americans who have taken the black pill: “This is wrongheaded. It’s cowardly and selfish, abandoning our fellow citizens to ‘woke’ chaos. And it’s a surefire way to lose the republic once and for all.” If that is true for the average citizen, how much more is it true for Christians?
To those on the verge of taking the black pill, I issue these solemn warnings:

-You are doing this to your children and grandchildren. They will live in the prison that is even now under construction. You will be part of the cause of their pain. You cannot escape your guilt if you have done nothing to resist the villains who are building the prison that your descendants will have to live in. Look in their eyes, think of their future, and join the fight.

-This is not going to just ‘go away’. This is not going to fix itself. They are not going to merely leave you alone. Just because you have stopped opposing them, it does not mean they will stop coming after you and your family.

Schilling put it this way: “Conservatives must not delude themselves into thinking they can just disengage from the culture war. The battle lines are drawn. And the Left isn’t going to nicely make compromises and exceptions for you, no matter how far the bench you’re sitting on is from the field. Black-pilling apologists insist the storm has to pass eventually—perhaps 10, 20, or 50 years from now—so it’s better to save energy. Such an assumption is incredibly naïve. Rather than assuming the evils of the world will retreat on their own, conservatives must proactively engage in the fight. No corner can expect to escape wokeism’s ever-increasing political and cultural power, if left unchecked. Not content to simply let conservatives retreat, the Left is sniffing them out in their schools, jobs, and suspended social media accounts.”

Believing you can be safe after you have taken the black pill is like believing the bull will not charge, because you are a vegetarian.

Yes, we are tired. But it is when we are tired that we need to press on the most. History is filled with examples of exhausted freedom fighters who summoned up the fire in their belly necessary to fight on and win.

Galatians 6:9, “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”

If you have stood the test and have not backed down. If you have kept going when the tepid saints around you have surrendered to the culture. If you have refused to buckle under the weight of ‘woke’ Christians. If you are contending, resisting, and enforcing the anointing that will indeed break the yoke―then you will be remembered, and beloved as a hero by future generations of believers.
