Stop for the One

Nothing else matters to Jesus, so nothing else mattered to me.

She kept saying: “Who sent you? Where did you come from? Why do you care? I’m drunk! Do you know that?” “Jesus sent me,” I said. “It’s not me. I was in a hurry, but he told me to stop.”

I stayed fixed on her eyes and told her who she is to Jesus. I spoke what He was saying. She was wresting between the demons that had her blind and the overflow of the love of God.

We prayed together. We talked about her addiction, abuse, pregnancy loss, abortions and prayed for healing and deliverance for each issue. So many people stopped, stared, worried, took pictures, called the police, and so on, but I never lost my gaze in her eyes.

Nothing else matters to Jesus, so nothing else mattered to me.

I stayed fixed on Him so she could see His love.

I wrestled with posting this because I want my reward in Heaven, not before man.

But I felt the Lord wanted someone to hear Him say this “ SLOW DOWN AND STOP FOR THE ONE!” Block out all the distractions and manifest the Kindness of God. He’s not on our time clock. We are on His. If you know Him, you are His messenger.

You can change the trajectory of someone’s life. I had to reschedule my kid’s orthodontist appointment, but these kids will never forget what it looks like to “stop for the one.”
