September 2024: Undivided Attention

I want to give you a prophetic word that I feel strong in my spirit for September. I was up early just the other morning, praying and spending some time with the Lord when He spoke to me and said, “Undivided attention. Complete undivided attention moving forward in September.” I really believe that this is not only a word specific to September but also a word that will carry through October, November, and December. I believe what the Lord was showing me through this word will carry through to the end of 2024. 

It is important to understand that when you hear a word like this from the Lord that this is a word of instruction but it is also a clear indication that there is about to be a lot of noise and distraction around you. Obviously, for those of us in America, we are coming up on an election season. However, I believe that more than that there’s just a lot of noise in the world right now.

The enemy is trying to get people to walk in confusion and distract them with the chaos occurring in the natural realm. The enemy wants you to be distracted at every turn so that you miss what God is doing. But, the Holy Spirit is saying, “Have undivided attention.” Meaning it is crucial for each of us to set our focus and give all of our attention to the Lord in this season like never before. 

As I was praying about this word I saw in my spirit an old-fashioned door that had a little keyhole. I also saw one of those old-fashioned keys enter the keyhole and it was unlocked. This is a season for precision with the voice of God in your life in this season. Listening and obeying what the spirit of the Lord is saying in this season will be the key to unlocking the next season. The enemy is trying to get people off so that they will not hit their mark. This is why it is so important for each of us as believers to have undivided attention in September and through the end of 2024. 

Proverbs 4:20-21 in the Passion Translation says, “Listen carefully, my dear child, to everything that I teach you, and pay attention to all that I have to say. Fill your thoughts with my words until they penetrate deep into your spirit.” This is not a season to only carefully listen to the Lord 80%, 90%, or even 99%.

This is a season where we must ask the Lord for elevated discernment and position our hearts and lives to carefully listen to hear what He is saying. Then we must give Him our undivided attention as we walk out what He is speaking to us as we put action to our faith. This is a month and a season that could radically change the trajectory of your life, for good or bad. We must lean into the Lord, just like this scripture is saying and carefully listen to His words making sure we are paying attention to what He speaks. It’s time for us to listen so carefully and closely to the voice of the Lord until it penetrates deep into our spirits.

God works within our lives in seasons. In each season we must listen to His voice first, but there are also seasons where He will lead you toward different voices. In some seasons He will lead you to listen to certain ministers and mentors. In other seasons He may lead you to listen to completely different ministers and mentors. In one season, He may be leading you to pick up certain books that you need to learn from and in the next lead you to completely different books. For everything, there is a season.

Make sure you are paying attention to those specific instructions from the Lord about what and who you should be gleaning from in each season. 

We cannot afford to be distracted and miss what God is saying or doing in the month of September. This is not a time to take what you are hearing from the Lord and put it on a shelf. This is a now-season. In order to refocus and refresh my consecration I am going to go on some fasts. I’m going to be intentional about spending more time in the place of prayer. I’m going to spend that concentrated time with the Lord in order to make sure that my heart and mind are in the right position and posture to hear the Lord and be in position for the fullness of everything that God is saying.

I believe that every year can actually be a building year but I just have especially high expectations for 2025.

I know God is doing something really big in our lives so I am committing myself to give the Lord my undivided attention. When you have undivided attention unto the Lord then He can easily guide us into the things He has for us and what He wants us to do. We are in an undivided attention season in September.

I just want to release grace and blessing over you as you give your undivided attention to the Lord in this season. There is rapid growth and greater levels of freedom coming to those who will give themselves wholly to the Lord in this season. So allow your undivided attention to thrust you into the last 90 days of 2024 and be expectant for all God will do in and through you in 2025!
