While there are a lot of people who talk about what Perfect Love is or isn’t, many don’t understand how God’s Love actually works, operates or grows in a persons life!
God’s Love isn’t like any other form of Love out there, because the other forms of Love can be produced by people, but God’s Love can only be created and produced by God Himself.
When the Bible talks about Agape (Love), that Love doesn’t just manifest because people willed it to, but it is only placed into the lives of individuals by the Presence of the Holy Spirit of God!
“Such hope never disappoints or deludes or shames us, for God’s love has been POURED OUT IN OUR HEARTS THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT Who has been given to us.” Romans 5:5
This is the reason that the world doesn’t understand the Love of God, because it can only be produced by Him, given by Him and understood by Him for it isn’t just an emotion that He has towards us, it is the Substance of Who He Is!
“He who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for God is love.” 1 John 4:8
Gods Love isn’t tolerant, it is merciful! The idea that Gods love should tolerate sin is a total misunderstanding of His Character, because sin leads to death and sin and death are enemies of God! God Doesn’t partner or tolerate those two enemies because His Presence destroys them both upon contact.
“The last enemy to be subdued and abolished is death.” 1 Corinthians 15:26
While the Love of God is given to us by Him, that Love matures within our lives until all fear is completely expelled from our lives by His Perfected Love operating from within us.
“There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but FULL-GROWN (complete, perfect) LOVE turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love’s complete perfection].” 1 John 4:18
When the Holy Spirit brings the Love of God, and places that Love within us, it’s like a Seed of His Love that’s been planted in our soil. As it grows and matures through the work of the Cross and the Holy Spirits influence, it becomes more pronounced, more mature and gains greater influence within our personal existence!
As that Love (Agape) grows in us, it continues to expell more and more fear from our lives until all that’s left is His Love and fear finds itself with no place to be! This is what Perfect Love looks like when it’s formed within us, for it’ll look like, sound like and act just like God for that’s WHO HE REALLY IS!
Ask the Holy Spirit to grow Gods Love in your life! Ask Him to continue to purge all of the fear from your heart and mind by His Love and His Presence! For as you grow in His Grace and His Mercy that Love will become the Most Powerful of all things within your life!
Perfect Love isn’t just imparted to you that way, it is grown by the Holy Spirit within your life until it removes everything that’s in opposition to It from you personally! Only when we learn to become Love, will we really begin to Understand Love!
“May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.” Ephesians 3:18-19
