I get asked for my opinion often.

I’m not sure why.

Most likely it’s because I’m so vocal about my faith.

But my faith isn’t built on my opinion.

My opinion and $3 will buy you a cup of coffee somewhere.

That’s about all it will get you.

My faith rests in God’s Truth.

My opinion on anything and everything is this…

What does the word of God say?

If your stance on a subject is counter to what God says, then I don’t agree with you.

We can debate.

We can go round and round, but you will be wrong and God will be right.

You can’t win a debate with God.

Many a man has made war with The Creator of all of creation.

Not one man has won yet.

It’s not about what you think.

It’s not about what I think.

Our opinions aren’t truth.

Did I breathe the stars into the sky?

Did you stop the sun from spinning?

Was I at the beginning?

Are you at the end?

No.

No, we did not, and no we are not.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

God is all-knowing.

He is all-powerful.

He doesn’t fail.

He doesn’t make mistakes and He never changes His mind.

He doesn’t bend to political agendas.

He isn’t woke.

In fact, you and I only woke up this morning because He allowed it.

He said what He meant, and He meant what He said.

When someone tries to paint me into a corner by asking my opinion on something as a way to make me look intolerant, unloving, and unaccepting God has given me an excellent response…

I hand them a Bible.

I tell them “My opinion is in here. These aren’t my opinions however, they are truth. When you find the answer to your question, let me know.”

The answer is in His word.

Period.

End of discussion.

I don’t slam them with scripture “one-liners” because there is SO MUCH MORE TO THE STORY!

My hope isn’t to prove myself right.

My hope is that they will read it and like me, it will change them.

How arrogant to think my opinion on ANYTHING is more powerful than the truth breathed by God.

He is The Savior of the world.

I am not.

And that isn’t my opinion.

That’s the truth of God.
