Looking Down From Heaven Above

From His throne of grace above, He pours forth from His mercy.

Looking down from Heaven above, He sees all.
Knowing He sees all, we sing joyfully in His presence.
With praise on our lips, our hearts, we lift to Him.
Praise filling our hearts, in us, He delights.
Looking upon us with great affection, He fills.

Looking down from above, His word in our hearts, He spies.
Knowing His word is right and true, we allow it to transform.
As His word transforms, He fills our hearts with understanding.
As His understanding fills, unfailing love for Him, He imparts.
Giving ourselves to Him who sees all, in His word, we delight.

His treasures hidden in our hearts; He watches with joy.
Watching all that we do, He encourages when we stumble.
His unfailing love securing, we get up without condemnation.
Joyfully running into His arms, He embraces and sympathizes.
From His throne of grace above, He pours forth from His mercy.

From His dwelling place, He looks down, seeing all mankind.
From above, considering all we do, He pays close attention.
His eyes on all who fear Him, He fills with hope and assurance.
In unfailing love, delivering from oppression, He fills with trust.
Acting as a shield from all that’s against us, we rejoice in Him.
