Living Between Realms: Equipping Yourself with the Armor of God

The war that ensues as His Kingdom advances requires protective equipment and weapons.

Posted on

I received direction from King Christ Jesus our Lord to speak about the armor.

It must first be emphatically stated that you and I live in different realms – the spiritual realm and the physical realm at the same time. How we live in the realms is different – at the same time.

Not all that comprises the entirety of the spiritual realm is good.

There are spiritual realms (under the kingdom of darkness) which exist in rebellion to the Father’s Kingdom of light. Our objective is to continue to receive and agree with Father, Son and Spirit until our whole being and our families are existing and operating in His Kingdom.

The war that ensues as His Kingdom advances requires protective equipment and weapons. He has provided these to us.

King Christ is highlighting the armor.

The definition of armor includes these meanings:

1. defensive covering for the body

2. a quality or circumstance that affords protection

3. protective outer layer (www.merriam-webster.com). In each of these, its apparent that our King wants His army well protected. Further, He has provisioned the equipment to make that happen.

Faith Action Points

1. Put the armor on by faith. Whether you feel its benefits or not, don’t delay adding this to your prayers, if you haven’t already.

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people” (NIV, Ephesians 6:10-18).

2. Know that your consistent prayers and decrees are creating a shield around yourself and your family that:

a. empowers His angels to protect you all and

b. is a force field which repels enemy operations against you.

3. Value and wear the breastplate of righteousness.

Recognizing that your personal “rightness” (and we all have our own versions thereof)

a. gets you nowhere with Heavenly Father and

b. can get you in deep trouble with His enemy operations in hostile spiritual realms is the starting place.

Recognizing that “rightness” is

a. a shield, a very effective protection, for your heart, lungs and emotions and

b. that the only “rightness” that is effective is King Christ Jesus’ which gives you a solid place to stand.

Receiving and agreeing that His “rightness”

a. covers you and

b. speaks on your behalf is the activation of that breastplate of righteousness on your SPIRITUAL body.

So many of our problems appear to be in our physical body. But, they don’t start there.

We live in different realms at the same time, and the way we live there is different.

The quality and protection of life that we live on the spirit and soul level under WHICH Kingdom determines the quality of life (or lack thereof) on the physical, and biological level.

It’s a now time to:

1. activate the armor in consistent prayer for yourself and your family (consider applying this to your evening prayers*)

2. pray protection for them

3. and meditate on (and agree with) the goodness of King Christ Jesus to so generously share His rightness with us to protect our core being – our heart and lungs – in our spiritual body.

Important Note: He highlighted praying the armor before going to sleep. While this may be a different application, much of our spiritual life and what comes against us happens during the night watches.
