One of our prophetic intercessors recently shared with me a powerful vision that illustrates the need for the Body of Christ to cover our frontline leaders in prayer:
I saw a vision and it reminded me of a video game when I was younger. I saw a bunch of key players out front on the battlefield. I was more sensing it was highlighting people who were out in the front lines taking ground quickly. Ones that may be more vulnerable. Easily susceptible to attack. Specifically prophets.
I saw the enemy sending his minions to attack them and it was like he knew he couldn’t stop them so he tried to stun them, but just ended up dazing them and slowing them for a moment. …It was a bad play on the enemy’s part as he was thinking he would take some of them out.
I then saw a vision of others coming alongside those who were targeted and they were linking arms with everyone. After they all linked arms and saw everyone was connected they started a steady slow march moving forward and the march was unified. I specifically sensed those who came alongside were primarily apostles at first, but also saw others in the Body.
I felt it was critical to be aware of the necessity to link arms and that those who were on the frontlines, before taking a lot of ground quickly, were now being linked up with others and I saw it as a gradual steady march going forward. Not fighting, but marching. I saw the enemy trembling in this portion of the vision.
Note the last line: “I saw the enemy trembling in this portion of the vision.” What is the enemy troubled about? Our unity. What does the enemy fear most? Our agreement and alignment with God and one another. Our spiritual adversary knows the power of ONENESS in the Spirit. He knows that when the Body of Christ actually joins hearts and agrees in prayer, NOTHING is impossible and NO WEAPON formed against us will prosper.
At a time when high-profile ministers and leaders are being exposed for wrongdoing and being removed from ministry, we cannot get distracted by infighting, but determine to march forward toward a common goal. We must remember that which we are fighting for and keep our eyes fixed on the prize.
We must recognize those who carry God’s favor and are on the frontlines taking a stand for truth. We must realize our role and responsibility in surrounding them with prayer and support so they can fulfill their assignments. Many prophets have been sounding the alarm and awakening the people to the dangers ahead. In doing so, they have been targeted for attack and taking the hits. Apostles are being called upon to take their place of authority alongside the prophets and provide the needed leadership and oversight to get us through this warfare. Both of these roles are essential in order for the Ecclesia to rise to her place of authority and influence in this hour.
But you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord.
Ephesians 2:19-20 ESV
The Lord is alerting us to the necessity of working together at a time when the enemy seeks to divide and conquer. The Body of Christ must get behind those who are on the frontlines of this battle. We must get behind those who are challenging our enemies and fighting for the foundations of our faith. We must support those who are defending the family of God and contending for the next generation. Not all are called to the frontlines, but all are called to pray. Regardless of our differences and shortcomings, we will always be stronger together than we are apart. We must remember the power of our unity in the face of wickedness and evil.
In this hour of extreme confrontation, our greatest challenge is not in fighting the devil, but in unifying our prayers and support in the midst.
