We are the light of the world. Illuminate your light and allow others to see Christ in you; the Hope of Glory! The darkness cannot comprehend the Light, and the Light exposes and dispels the darkness. Darkness cannot overpower the Light. John 1:4-5, “In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).
Is your light hidden from the world, or do you have it fearlessly displayed on a lamp stand for all who enter in to see? Is your conduct pleasing to the Lord and is it one that others would be proud to model?! Are you filled with dislike towards the world, or are you seeking to let Christ’s love lead others to His Salvation and Righteousness?!
God has a divine purpose and plan for you….only for you. He desires for your light to shine for all men to see that He may be glorified through your life. Others will see God’s Spirit-filled, faith-based, grace-given good works in you through Christ Jesus and want to come to know God for themselves. The Spirit of God living inside of you is a contagion. It sets people’s souls on fire. His fire ignites! It gives hope to the hopeless and movement to the sedentary. His Fire and His Light ignites your life to freedom and action!
Illuminate; You’re A City Set On A Hill! Expose and dispel the darkness for the life-taker it is. Seek to shine even in your trials and struggles. Dark clouds won’t always remain. There is relief we have in an intimate love relationship with Jesus Christ. So shine His light and keep on shining His light, and don’t allow anyone to snuff it out. But instead, teach men, women, and children all about the Light of this world. Show them His love, mercy, and grace. Allow them to witness the power of His transforming blood He shed for them on Calvary. Teach them that He is a life-giver and not a life-taker.
The Light shines in the darkness! You shine in the darkness! Your presence filled with the Spirit of the living God illuminates every area you walk into. You can’t help but shine if Christ rules and reigns in your life.
