If I Never Change

God is always doing something new, but He won’t force me into it.

If I never change, I will become a monument to what could’ve been.

I will preach about freedom while secretly living in chains.

I will quote destiny, but settle for dysfunction.

I will cry out for breakthrough, but refuse to break my pride.

I will speak of revival, but deny the Spirit the right to renew me.

If I never change, the rot of stagnation will replace the fruit of growth.

The people closest to me will suffer from the weight of my unwillingness.

My prayers will sound right, but my heart will stay wrong.

And worst of all, I may miss the very thing God has been preparing me for…

simply because I loved my comfort more than I loved His voice.

Jesus didn’t save me to stay the same.

He saved me to become.

To transform.

To bear fruit.

To walk worthy of the calling.

God is always doing something new, but He won’t force me into it.

He invites. He prompts. He warns.

But I must decide.

If I never change, I’ll have no one to blame but myself.

But if I surrender, if I let Him prune, shape, and sanctify me,

there’s still time.

Still purpose.

Still destiny.

Still hope.

Don’t waste your life defending who you were when Christ is calling you to become who you were always meant to be.
