Holy Spirit Encouragement

Our problems don’t miraculously disappear, but through faith, we learn to live through them with a generous portion of hope in Christ.

Each day, as believers in Christ, we find new hope because of the love and presence of Jesus Christ. That said, the Holy Spirit’s company and prayer challenge unfavorable circumstances and drive out fear replacing it with good cheer. As it says in Romans 15:13, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Indeed the power of the Holy Spirit is the supernatural presence of God at work in our lives, believers. Holy Spirit empowers us to live out our faith joyfully, even through the storms that challenge the most devout follower of Christ. And it becomes our pleasure and joy to share that hope through the gospel of Jesus Christ with others.

In Acts 1:8, Jesus tells his disciples, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” After all, this power is not a human power but a divine power that enables believers to do the work of God.

That said, it’s easy to give in to negative emotions and unfavorable hardships, but it takes faith to challenge ourselves through healthy habits to change the way we think, and by following through with daily scripture studies, prayer, and fasting, we become the most excellent version of ourselves in Christ. We become fortified and strengthened by the God who loves us. Each new morning comes with a fresh perspective to make the day better than the day prior.

Our problems don’t miraculously disappear, but through faith, we learn to live through them with a generous portion of hope in Christ, and it pleases the Lord. Hallelujah!

I encourage you to examine where you stand with Christ. Is it time to reevaluate your faith and broaden your studies through the Holy Spirit? Indeed Holy Spirit helps in our weaknesses and intercedes in times of challenges and change.

Check out Romans 8:26-27; Paul guides us as believers in Christ’s truth and shares the spiritual gifts that benefit us as the church.

He says, “Similarly, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. Furthermore, he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. Oh, what a blessing our God is to us as His people.

Without the Holy Spirit, it’s easy to fall into the traps of religion that have no power, and depression and a lack of hope rear their ugly head; sadly, this happens more often than not, but today is a new day, let’s not waste it but water it.

How amazing is it to finally walk in the gifts God gave you? Indeed, the Lord’s facilities help to aid in the building of the body so that one is down, the other lifts them high.

In 1 Corinthians 12:7-11, the text says, “Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given, for the common good. To one, there is provided through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gift of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous power, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines. This verse explains that through the Holy Spirit, we are afforded and equipped with what we need to get through life and sometimes the day.

Remember that Jesus is not the respecter of persons, and He gives, as He chooses, one or all of the gifts. This depends on God’s will for each of us.

Paul tells us in Romans 2:11, “For there is no respect of persons with God.”This verse means that God is not influenced by any one person by their social status, prestige, money, etc. GOD searches the heart, and His will for us can not be challenged by the opinions of those who oppose His choices; dare anyone try; it’s foolish and worldly behavior. God’s ways are above our ways, and so we love Him.

That said, today, trust that from beneath the ashes of despair, with each new morning, we find hope in Christ.

One final note, treating people justly and with fairness is a fundamental aspect of living a happy and fulfilling life. We can all remember a time in our childhood when we were eager to learn about others and play together in a spirit of love and kindness. As we grow older, we must hold onto the values of fairness and respect we learned as children.

One scripture that speaks to this topic is found in Micah 6:8, which says, “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” I see this verse as a reminder to seek that our actions transpire through justice, mercy, and humility and that we should strive to treat others with the same love, grace, and respect in return.
