His Divine Light

His divine light captured at sunrise from the Smoky Mountain National Park. I am delighted to share the gift of nature through the lens of my camera and the eyes He has given me to see His wonders. May you feel inspired to share this image and post with others.

His Divine Light ~ In times of darkness, it’s challenging to believe in goodness. It may start with a simple misunderstanding between two people that leads to something far more detrimental, even death. Hurtful words can penetrate the soul and cause irreparable damage.

According to a gun violence research group, we have had more mass shootings than the number of days this year in 2019. The level of darkness has reached an all-time high in our country. There seems to be an absence of human kindness and compassion for our fellow human beings.

Yet we know where there is darkness, there is light. This is the divine light that can only come from our Creator. When our Heavenly Father sheds light onto our darkest hour, there is a feeling of hope, and a gentle wave of peace washes over us. Just as the sunlight created this beautiful soft light that fell across the mountain tops and down into the valleys. His perfect love and light offer us the promise of a new day and a renewed spirit. He breathes life into us moment to moment.

What can we do as Christians to share His divine love and light? We can begin with simple daily acts of kindness. We can choose to be less critical. We can open our hearts and minds to see another person’s point of view without passing judgment. We can live by the Golden Rule. We can seek His light and be the light for others.

Matthew 5:16, NKJV ~ Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Isn’t it really about connection? Connection to God, to ourselves, and everything He has created? How can we nurture this connection to our Father? We can start by finding a place to be still and listen to His voice.

Psalm 46:10, NKJV ~ Be still, and know that I am God.

We can seek the solace in nature to quiet our minds and connect with Him. His divine presence is all around us. He is the sunrise and the sunset. His gift to us is nature.

When we seek His divine love, we naturally want to share it with others. Goodness attracts goodness. Your goodness and love are the gifts that come from the Divine.

1 John 4:19, NIV ~ We love because He first loved us.

1 Corinthians 13:13, NIV ~ And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Show His love and kindness to someone today.
