Grey Skies are Gonna Clear Up!

Let His Spirit cause your spirit to soar above the grey skies so that you can sing a new song.

I actually wrote this particular article a number of years ago, but the Lord brought it back to mind today and prompted me to rerelease it.

Today, during prayer, I heard words from a famous song,

“Grey skies are gonna clear up, put on a happy face.”

Then the Spirit of the Lord spoke, saying,

“Do not let the momentary grey skies define your day. The promises that I have made to you are true and sure. Allow your faith in my promises to give you confidence and put on a happy face.”

You can smile even when the shadows and emotional grey skies come to cast doubt upon the promises that God has made. You know that your God is above every cloud of gloom that wants to dictate a different story and cause your soul to begin to doubt.

“But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.” James 1:6

Doubt is like a grey and stormy forecast, faith is your sunny and clear forecast. Doubt and unbelief are enemy that creates mental and emotional conflict, which leads directly to fear. And fear is a not merely a grey sky but a black, raging storm that tosses its victims relentlessly. On the other hand, faith and assurance are like the sunrise of a new day that dispels darkness, bringing hope and peace— even a rainbow of promise! Peace calms and carries you through the day, making your heart glad again.

If you are experiencing a grey forecast or grey sky today (in your soul), do not let it dictate doubt to you. Put doubt under your feet and smile in assurance that the faith that you have been standing in is your true reality. Let His hope and peace lift you above the clouds to where you can experience the Son in the fullness of His light.

God’s sons and daughters are not restrained to live under the weight of physical and earthly circumstances but we have been given access to heavenly places. It is there that we can “bask in the Son”. This is where our hearts are made happy, and a smile returns to our faces.

“A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit.” Proverbs 15:13

Let His Spirit cause your spirit to soar above the grey skies so that you can sing a new song. Clarity is in the heavenly places where nothing blocks the Son or casts shadows on His faithfulness. In His presence, you will receive wisdom for every step ahead. I hear a new song and a new stanza being sung,

“I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It’s gonna be a bright, bright Sun-Shiny day.”

He is making known to you the obstacles in your path so that you can remove them. And he is also going before you to remove barriers and obstacles in your way.

“A voice of one is calling out, “Clear the way for the Lord in the wilderness [remove the obstacles]; Make straight and smooth in the desert a highway for our God. “Every valley shall be raised, And every mountain and hill be made low; And let the rough ground become a plain, And the rugged places a broad valley. “And the glory and majesty and splendor of the Lord will be revealed, And all humanity shall see it together; For the mouth of the Lord has spoken it.” Isaiah‬ ‭40‬:‭3‬-‭5‬ ‭

Let your faith arise and put on a happy face…it’s gonna be a “Son-Shiny” day!
