God’s Favorite

The Word tells us that He redeems your life and crowns you with love and compassion! (Psalm 103:4)  He holds your heart in His hands and it is His greatest treasure.  Yes, it is true.  Your heart beloved…is His favorite.

YOU are God’s favorite.

He calls you His favorite in His word, and he is not a man that He would lie.

That word FAVORED – means FAVORITE when properly translated and beloved means divinely loved.

But how – if He’s not a God of partiality? He can’t love one over another, and God never contradicts His word.

Right?

Correct. He does not.

Then how is it possible to be His favorite when there are 7.8 billion people on the earth?

How can you be His favorite, but I’m also His favorite?

That’s not mathematically possible, and yet His word seems to say otherwise.

Or does it?

I took my childlike question and desire to be his favorite (just being honest – lol – we all want to be our Dad’s favorite) to Him in prayer one night.

“Father, am I your favorite?”

I couldn’t see Him, but I could feel Him smiling.

He loves how we love Him.

We were created to love Him.

He gently reminded me that He’s The Creator. He creates all things with precision and detail. That even our fingerprint is unique. In fact, there’s only a one in 64 billion chance that someone else has the same fingerprint as me…or you.

I did the math.

This means no one on the planet is like you or me.

We are completely and totally unique.

There’s only ONE of your kind.

There’s only ONE of my kind.

I am His favorite – of my kind.

You are His favorite – of your kind.

We both get to be His favorite – of our own unique and individual kind.

Only I can love Him, with how I was created to love Him.

Only YOU can love Him, the way you were created to love Him.

Do you see now why He desires every soul?

LOVE – WE LOVE HIM UNIQUELY – IT CAN’T BE DUPLICATED

HE LOVES HIS UNIQUE CREATION.

HE DESIRES OUR LOVE.

He rejoices over us in song! His heart yearns for those who don’t know Him, who don’t love Him.

And then I cried because it’s true.
