God Is Bringing a Baptism of Fire to Reignite Your Love

We invite the angels to bring the blazing coals from the altar so that our hearts will be ignited with love for God and for one another.

No matter who I talk to, each person agrees that they don’t recognize the world we live in anymore. The modern so-called “woke” world has redefined good as evil and right as wrong. The unnatural and unholy has permeated the atmosphere, calling the perverse “natural”— and the unholy “healthy.”

Yet, as God’s people we have the unimaginable privilege of being surrounded and submerged in the perfect purity and righteous truth of Jesus that overcomes all evil and keeps us from the profane. The blood of Jesus continues to speak the better word that is unshakable and undeniable.

Even still, we must continue to ask the Spirit to guard our hearts and minds with the peace that surpasses all comprehension and a love that is unquenchable. If we do not allow the perfect peace of Jesus to guard us then it could be very easy for our love to grow cold. Matthew 24:12 says,

And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.”

Being surrounded by lawlessness can produce a number of reactions that can quickly lead to our love growing cold. Some will feel offended and angry, which if not kept in check will lead to cynicism, judgments, and bitterness. Others may feel deeply saddened and find it difficult to hope. This can easily lead to anxiety and a sense of hopelessness that bombards your faith with questions that cause you to doubt God. Still, others may merely go numb— causing a lack of spiritual sensitivity which will cause their love to grow cold.

If you are battling any of these reactions, I encourage you to ask the Holy Spirit to help you to be able to look and see where your treasures have been being stored. It is so easy in times of ease to begin to trust in the things of this world rather than in the unshakable kingdom that is eternal. Remember, though our natural world has changed— God and His Kingdom have not and will not change. It is eternal and eternally secure. We must store our treasures in the unchanging Kingdom of God and not in this world that is continually creating chaos.

I believe that the Lord has great compassion upon those who are struggling with having to be realigned and reformed but it is a necessary work. I know that in His love and mercy, our beautiful Father in heaven is both comforting the fearful and doing a “transfer of wealth” from the earthly things to the eternal things. There has been a type of deliverance from false securities and a lack of true revelation happening in His people. We are seeing God divide the precious from the worthless and the eternal from the perishable. This is an important work and we are well-advised to yield to this refinement. Peace is on the side of trusting in our never-changing God and putting all of our treasures in His eternal Kingdom— not in this world.

Over the past few weeks, the Spirit has been highlighting the issue of love to me. He has had me in intercession for His people regarding where love has grown cold and how we need a baptism in the fire of His love to ignite a passionate love for God and people once again. I include myself in this need for a fresh baptism.

It is easy to begin to see the lost as our enemies and yet God has called us to love our enemies. He came for the lost, for the sick, for the broken— but this modern-day “woke” agenda has had an even more profound effect on the Church than the deception it has brought to the lost. It has caused many in the Church’s hearts to grow cold toward the lost— and separated many from the great commission Christ called us to fulfill. When we encounter the fire of God’s love personally, we will not ou be ignited with His love personally but also ignited with His love for the lost.

I remember an encounter I had where I saw God before an altar of fire. He was stoking this great fire and He was blowing on it. As He did this the coals were turning bright orange. Love was coming forth from His chest like a wind, fueling the fire with His agape love. He would then stir the coals with His right hand of might causing the coals to blaze with an eternal heat. This happened until every coal contained the fullness of His agape love and zeal. Then I saw Him call for angels to take the coals and go forth to ignite love in the hearts of His people. These coals contained unconditional love, truth, grace, healing, refinement, deliverance, encounter, zeal, and a fresh baptism. I understood that the angels were being sent with these coals to touch the hearts of His people— especially those whose love had grown cold. The coals would ignite a baptism of fire that would rekindle first love, passion for God, and a passion (even a pure zeal) to fulfill the great commission.

Do not lose heart regarding the fire of refinement that is now upon the Church and do not lose heart as the world becomes more and more desperate for answers— the enemy always overplays His hand leaving the lost longing for truth.

We invite the angels to bring the blazing coals from the altar so that our hearts will be ignited with love for God and for one another like never before. We can even now begin to cry out to him and say, “God, send to me the angels that carry the coals that burn with agape love. Ignite my heart and my life with a love that far surpasses anything I have ever known or experienced!”
