From Your Head to Your Heart

What is in the heart comes from our personal perceptions of the world around us and what we believe to be true about ourselves and others.

While there are a lot of Christians who read the Bible and try to comprehend it with their minds, it is only after the Truths that are shared by the Holy Spirit with them sink into their hearts, that those Truths become a reality to them.

How we Perceive things is the way that we Receive them as well. So if we are Perceiving things about God that are incorrect from the Standards of His Character and His Person then we will also receive those same things in the same fashion. (Incorrectly)

This kind of perception causes damage to our ability to Receive what the Lord Jesus Christ has provided for us in the way of our personal inheritance in Him, and may even cause us to receive the wrong things because of our misunderstanding about His Personal Character.

For instance, those who believe that God sends sickness and disease upon them to teach them something, have a wrong perception of God because sickness and disease are enemies of God. Otherwise, Jesus Christ would never have taken those things upon Himself through the stripes upon His back. (1 Peter 2:24)

“For with the HEART A PERSON BELIEVES (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.” Romans 10:10

What we believe doesn’t come out of our mindsets, it comes out of our hearts, and what is in the heart comes from our personal perceptions of the world around us and what we believe to be true about ourselves and others.

The objective of the enemy of our souls (the devil) is to warp our perceptions of ourselves, of God, of the Word of God, and even blind us to the Truth through those false perceptions. If he can successfully do this, then he’ll attempt to keep us away from the reality of all of God’s Promises and Purposes for each of our lives.

“FOR AS HE THINKS IN HIS HEART, SO IS HE. As one who reckons, he says to you, eat and drink, yet his heart is not with you [but is grudging the cost].” Proverbs 23:7

The word “Thinks” here is translated as “the Gatekeeper” because if the Holy Spirit is actively at work, teaching you how to Perceive things correctly with your mind through the Revelation of Jesus Christ (by reading the Bible), then He becomes the Gatekeeper of what goes from your mind becoming Belief in your heart.

Do You believe with your Head or your Heart today? Because if it is in your heart then it will eventually spill forth out of your mouth, and those declarations of your heart will give you access to the Kingdom Power and Authority that are a part of your inheritance in Jesus Christ.

“The upright (honorable, intrinsically good) man out of the good treasure [stored] in his heart produces what is upright, and the evil man out of the evil storehouse brings forth that which is depraved; FOR OUT OF THE ABUNDANCE (overflow) OF THE HEART HIS MOUTH SPEAKS.” Luke 6:45

Allow the Holy Spirit to Renew Your Mind Through the Word Today! Not to just make a few alterations to it, but to Renovate your thought life completely! Because if what your belief is about God, isn’t bringing His Life Upon yours, then something is seriously wrong with it and needs to be changed entirely!

“The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” John 10:10
