His holy footsteps guide us to the Father’s throne
They illuminate the path that takes us safely home
Do you know the One who says, “Come, Follow Me?”
If not, I encourage you to accept Jesus as your Lord and King

If you had lived in days of old

and saw Jesus walk in the flesh

If you had witnessed Him feeding thousands

with five loaves and two small fish

If you had seen the lame walk and the blind see

the deaf hear and the dumb speak

If you had seen Lazarus rise from the grave

would you have believed?

Would you have been His follower

if you had seen with your own eyes?

Or would you have doubted like Thomas

and wanted proof of the wound in His side?

If Jesus had said, “Follow Me,” would you have taken the steps

or walked away from His invitation and forgotten you ever met?

Where are you today? Do you have faith, or do you doubt?

Are you uncertain like a wave, all blown and tossed about?

Doubting is like being unstable in all we say and do

It’s a poisonous path that never leads to the truth

If the road we travel doesn’t include following Christ

we’ll never find the road that leads to eternal life

His holy footsteps guide us to the Father’s throne

They illuminate the path that takes us safely home

Do you know the One who says, “Come, Follow Me?”

If not, I encourage you to accept Jesus as your Lord and King

“The LORD is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray. He leads the humble in doing right, teaching them his way”

Psalm 25: 8-9 (NLT)

About the Author

Debbie always had a desire to write a book, but didn’t have a clue as to what the content could be. Children’s books and short stories piqued her interest most. She had dabbled with writing family-oriented poems, off and on over the years, but became overwhelmed with a hunger to write about God and His love in her late fifties. She started seeing God everywhere she looked whether it was in a deck of cards, movie titles, nursery rhymes, popular sayings, flower petals, or a baseball game. She finally realized that prophecy was being fulfilled when one of her sons told her that her poetry glorified God and was meant to be shared. The Lord’s words from an encounter in 2011 immediately returned to her. She had found her own way to speak about God just like He told her she would. Debbie is sharing her poetry in hopes that it will nourish and strengthen souls for the Kingdom of God. She refers to her poetic style as floetry, as it is the move of the Holy Spirit flowing from her heart to another. Her desire to flood the prisons with her book is due to God’s belief in her, and in her belief that no one can cast the first stone, but that everyone can help someone who is in desperate need of a Savior.
