When God is the center of your life, nothing will stand in the way of God’s purposes for you. There may be many different paths that will lead you into your destiny, so keep your eyes focused on Him. His counsel and guidance will lead you where you need to be. That’s why we can’t take our eyes off Him. Stay focused beloved.
God’s favor upon your life will open doors of opportunity that may surprise you.
What does favor do for your life?
- God’s Favor demolishes walls that want to prevent God’s plan from being implemented.
- God’s favor will draw people towards you who normally would not be interested in you or what you have to say.
- God’s favor will unlock doors that you couldn’t go through before.
- God’s favor will shake off unbelief and discouragement when your day of favor comes.
- God’s favor is God’s blessing upon your life.
In the Christmas story when God sent the angel Gabriel to Mary, he said this, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.” Luke 1:28
Mary’s immediate response was fear. She was greatly troubled by his words and wondered what kind of greeting this was. Then the angel repeats himself saying, “Mary, you have found favor with God.” Luke 1: 30
Today, someone needs to hear, and hear it again, “You have found favor with God.”
Does that mean that everything in your life will be perfect? Absolutely not! In fact, when God’s blessing and favor is upon your life, you become a target for the enemy.
In the Old Testament, there was a man who also found favor. He was told to build an ark and prepare for a flood. That man, “Noah, found favor in the eyes of the Lord.” Genesis 6: 8
Noah’s Godly life was a powerful contrast to the world’s wickedness, and he suffered much ridicule.
After God gave Noah his instructions it says this, “Noah did everything just as God commanded him.” Genesis 6: 22
Those who walk in favor are ones who walk in obedience.
I believe that walking in that obedience attracts favor to you.
So, Mary, a young peasant girl, was highly favored in the eyes and heart of God. He had chosen her to carry and give birth to the son of God, who was coming to earth in the form of a baby to be the Messiah, Savior, and Lord.
Do you see yourself as highly favored of God? Well, you are!
Do you see yourself as one that God delights in? Yes, you are!
Can you see yourself as one who carries the Lord? As a Christ follower, you carry Him, you carry the Word, and the Word is alive and active in you.
You are chosen, just like Mary was chosen. How? You hold the seed of Jesus inside of you as a born-again, Spirit-filled follower of Jesus. His Holy Spirit has been activated as we learn to yield to Him.
At the exact moment of asking Jesus to come into your heart, you were saying, “Jesus be born in me, be born in me.”
Not only that, but you now house the fullness of the Godhead within you.
That fullness is God the Father, Jesus the Son, and His precious Holy Spirit.
You are favored in the eyes of the Lord as you walk in His ways. God’s hand of blessing is in you and upon you.
You are His Bride, and you bring joy to the Lord.
You are of great value to the Lord, and He has unmistakenly chosen you to partner with Him now and throughout eternity.
You are a radiant Bride who delights the heart of the Maker of heaven and earth.
If that isn’t favor, I don’t know what is.
He has plans for you to carry out on this earth, as you carry His love and compassion in your heart to those who need to be loved on and need set free.
