I had a disturbing dream recently.
I rarely dream, so when I do I know I’m to take heed.
The dream was filled with witchcraft, sorcery, parties, music, perversion, and utter confusion.
It wasn’t evil hiding.
It was evil in plain sight.
The last thing said in that dream was said to me by “the man” hosting the part. He was clearly demonic.
“When the song WITCHCRAFT comes on, I want you to dance.”
I knew I needed to flee.
The Lord woke me up and spoke this to me….
Revelation 22:4
Revelation 22:4 says, “They will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads”
What does that mean?
Just like the enemy marks his people, so does our God.
Revelation 13:17
So that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name.
But God…
In Ezekiel 9:4 the Lord commanded a man to mark the foreheads of people in Jerusalem who are grieving over the city’s sins.
Ezekiel 9:4 says, “The LORD said to him, ‘Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men who sigh and who cry because of all the abominations that are done in the midst thereof'”
We should be grieving church.
Grieving at what is being done in the sight of the Lord.
Grieving also at the evil that still resides in our hearts.
Grieving at how witchcraft has a hold on the minds of people.
Galatians 5:19-21
19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery;
20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions
21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
* In the Bible, dissension is defined as a time when people break unity without good cause. It’s often translated from the Greek word dichostasia.
* In the Bible, factions are groups that organize to break down unity and cause divisions: The word aireseis is used to describe factions in Galatians 5:20. It comes from the root word haireo, which means a self-chosen opinion. To walk in their version of truth.
The word aireseis is used to describe factions in Galatians 5:20. It comes from the root word haireo, which means a self-chosen opinion. Paul may have been referring to groups like the Pharisees, Sadducees, or newer Christian groups that taught false or divisive gospels.
The obvious is obvious. Evil in plain sight….
sexual immorality
impurity
debauchery
idolatry
What is missed?
The witchcraft that hides in God’s people isn’t Ouija boards and tarot cards.
It is….
hatred
discord
jealousy
fits of rage
selfish ambition
discord in the body
division caused by groups claiming Christ.
We must look past the obvious beloved.
Least we too be deceived.
Deuteronomy 6:4-8. “Hear, O Israel: The LORD is our God, the LORD alone. You shall love the LORD our God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you like down and when you rise. Bind them as a sign on your hand, fix them as an emblem on your forehead.”
What marks us is in what we think (an emblem on your forehead) and in what we do (bind them as a sign on your hand).
Lord reveal anything in me that is not accordance with your word.
Reveal that to us all Lord.
That is my prayer.
