Eliminated

God desires to set you free from those things that have been holding you back in previous seasons. All you must do is come into agreement with Him and allow His power to eliminate those things that are keeping you from stepping into freedom. God’s power is available to you and because of the blood of Jesus, there is not a single thing that can keep you from walking in the fullness of what He has for you, except for yourself.

The Lord wants to eliminate the number one thing in your life that is holding you back. I believe the Lord is challenging His people to target those things in this season. And in order to target those things holding you back, you’ll have to allow the Lord to put His finger on them. It may be fear, insecurity, heartache, sin, or limiting beliefs. Whatever that one thing is that is holding you back, God wants to eliminate it so that you can do all that He has called you to do in this season.

Again, before something can be eliminated, we must first be willing to identify it and then face it. Lean into God and begin to make steps forward. Find a scripture that addresses whatever that one thing is and stand on the scripture. What would happen in your life if you could see that one thing eliminated? Let the hope and possibility of that kind of freedom propel you forward in this season. 

Galatians 5:9 says, “A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough.” This scripture highlights the truth of how just a little bit of the wrong stuff will impact your whole life. That one thing that has been holding you back could be something so seemingly small or simple that it has gone undetected in your life until now. This is exactly why God wants to remove that thing that’s holding you back. God is looking for those in this season who will lay themselves on the altar until every single hindrance is eliminated. Galatians 5:16 says, “As you yield to the dynamic life and power of the Holy Spirit, you will abandon the cravings of your self-life. When your self-life craves the things that offend the Holy Spirit, you hinder him from living free within you!”

The power of the Holy Spirit will empower you to abandon the desires of your flesh. As you yield to the spirit of God that is living on the inside of you, you will lose the cravings of your flesh and it will be easy to abandon those things that have held you back from the life and freedom God has for you. Never underestimate what God can do in your life if you will simply say yes to the Holy Spirit and His leading for your life.

There have been many instances where I knew the Lord was calling me into something, but it felt like there were too many impossible things standing in my way. However, almost every time, it was not any external factors that were keeping me from what God wanted for me. Instead, it was something in my own heart or life that was keeping me from my breakthrough. But as soon as I said yes to God, those things that were holding me back were eliminated as I yielded to Him. If you will ask the Lord to put His finger on those things that need to be eliminated in your life, He will be faithful to do it for you. 

Don’t allow unforgiveness, fear, insecurity, doubt, or anything else keep you from what God has for you! This is your season to step into those things the Lord has placed in your heart to deal with. Begin to aggressively go after those things that have held you back and get ready to see God do great and mighty things in and through you in this season!
