It’s that cloud again — the one Elijah called out.
“As big as a man’s hand,” his servant said. Look what happened.
We have a cloud that’s coming too. It started just the size of a man’s hand, the same as Elijah’s cloud.
Just like Elijah’s cloud, this one is coming closer, getting bigger.
We don’t have a description of the rain that came to Elijah, we just know it was heavy — because they all had to get off the mountain fast!
Here’s a new weather forecast for you — there’s rain coming, heavy rain with a Holy Spirit-driven wind.
Imagine the scene days later when Elijah had fled and taken refuge on the mountain.
God showed Himself in power. He sent earthquake, wind, and fire before Him. Then He revealed Himself in a quiet whisper. “What are you doing here, Elijah?” (1 Kings 19:13)
There’s rain coming to us too, and it will be accompanied by the wrath of Satan in earthquake, wind, and fire.
Yet The LORD will once again reveal Himself in a quiet whisper that only those with an ear to hear will catch.
His presence will be so powerful, so healing, so convicting, that those who don’t know Him, and those who have held back, even backslidden, will once more run to the altar, God’s Mercy Seat, crying out for mercy and forgiveness and reconciliation.
Make way for the King of kings, The LORD of Lords, He is coming in power and great glory.
We shall hear the cherubim crying “Holy, holy, holy” as He enters in.
All of Satan’s disruptions shall be silenced as the cloud of His presence enters.
Demons shall flee in terror as He manifests His presence and people will run to the altar for forgiveness.
“I AM a Holy God and I will have a Holy People,” says The LORD.
“I will separate My People.
They shall be in — but not of — the world, and they shall shine like beacons on a hill, they shall be salt where no salt exists, and they shall inherit My Kingdom as heirs!”
Yes, Church, the latter rain is coming, and it carries the cloud of The LORD’s Presence with Salvation and Healing!
