Recently in one of our corporate prayer times, I was praying and I just heard this word so strong in my spirit from the Lord, “The enemy has been disarmed.” This immediately brought me a lot of joy and I felt strengthened by this because, for the past 3 years, I have been in a season of intense warfare.
However, just a few weeks before the Lord spoke this word to me, I woke up that morning with total peace. I hadn’t experienced that kind of peace in over 3 years. Since then, and especially after the Lord gave me this prophetic word, I have woken up each morning with peace, clarity in my mind, and a strong sense of the anointing and presence of God in our home.
The problem with a lot of people is that when they have been in warfare for so long that they built their life around it. I knew a dog once that had been chained up by its owner for the first 5 years of his life. Then after that, the owner unchained him and the dog would never go beyond where the chain used to reach even though he was no longer held by the chain. This is exactly how we are.
When we have been in season after season of warfare we forget what it is like to move and operate in the complete freedom God intends for us to walk in. This is your season to come out of that, my friends! The warfare is over and you will be able to build freely in this season with God without the opposition you encountered in previous seasons.
Colossians 2:15 says, “And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.” I want you to know that everything the enemy has brought up against you, God has victory over it by the cross. By the cross, Jesus has triumphed over everything that has caused you discouragement, delay, disappointment, and disillusionment. You are about to walk in the strength and power of what God has already given to you! Colossians 1:16 says, “For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.”
Before I really started walking with God, I struggled academically. It was difficult for me to comprehend what I was reading, I had a stutter and a huge fear of getting up in front of people to speak. However, when the power of God touched my life and He called me to preach all of those things began to shift. I no longer have a stutter, I love to read and write books and I love to preach the word of God to anyone God calls me to!
Many times what you are called to do is hidden behind your greatest weaknesses, fear, or insecurity. Often your areas of vulnerability and struggle are actually pointing out what God has called you to step into. The enemy will always attack you in your greatest place of strength so that you are hindered and deceived into thinking that it is your weakness.
Deuteronomy 28:7 says, “The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.” I believe in this season your enemies will be defeated right before you! The enemy is going to be scattered before you as you move forward with the Lord. And as God puts the enemy to shame in your life, make sure you stay humble in your victory. Luke 10:19 says, “Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and. scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.”
The enemy has been disarmed in your life and your prayers have been heard and answered. This is the season of victory. Psalms 138:7 says, “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand delivers me.” You are about to see the mighty deliverance of God come into your life and circumstances. The warfare you went through was for a season and now it’s time to come out of it! That has been broken, the enemy has been disarmed and now is your time to move freely into the things of the Lord and all that He has for you in 2024 and beyond!
