I think I’ve come to the understanding that the “fiery trial and dark night of the soul” doesn’t necessarily “end.”
One must simply choose joy and refuse to believe that man’s opinion is more weighty than the Lord’s.
The “dark night” goes away when the Light of His glory shines. We must choose to walk in the light and be the light in the darkness.
That’s easier said than done.
It’s a choice to renew your mind daily.
It’s a continual choice to pursue a connection when disconnection is the default of a wounded heart.
We have a generation seeking what we call “FAMILY.”
But “Family” does not equal perfect understanding or agreement; it looks more like connecting in the face of misunderstanding and disagreement.
We, as a culture, have been seeking a family ideology with an orphan-hearted belief system.
We’ve looked for “our tribe,” “our crew,” or for a people that “get us.”
That doesn’t truly exist.
God, Our Father, is the only one who GETS US!
We are each uniquely different.
God made us parts of His body.
God made us with different giftings.
He made us with different personalities.
He made us with different opinions.
Diversity of parts are to be connected to create wholeness.
Christ is the head of the body. If we depend on any other part to take His place we will continue to be fractured and have false expectations that turn into painful disappointments.
Have you felt something missing? Have you felt you’ve been in a constant fiery trial or dark night? Let’s be the light in the darkness and be the change we crave! Let’s align our views and hearts with His. Let’s pursue connection but above all pursue Him.
We must learn to receive His love so that we can love others the way He loves us!
