Recently I was reminded of a time when I was taken into a heavenly encounter that was both beautiful and impactful. It began with a vision where I saw Jesus standing in a river calling to us to come to Him. The river was flowing from His Throne of Grace in heaven. It was so clear and pure that I knew it had to be heavenly water because no earthly water has this appearance. Many people were standing on the banks of this river and Jesus was inviting them to come and be baptized, yet I understood that this was not a salvation baptism but one that would somehow transform minds, for I could hear the words from Isaiah 55:9 coming from His Spirit,
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts.”
Suddenly the vision became more of an encounter as I accepted the invitation of Jesus to step into this river of grace and be baptized. As I entered the water, I immediately began to experience a spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental cleansing coming from my feet upward. When I got to the place where Jesus stood, His affections for me were tangibly felt. Then He put His hands on my head and out of the scars on His hands poured amazing grace. This grace was like the purest water intermingled with the power of the blood that had once flowed from the wounds in His hands. This grace that flowed from His nail-scarred hands was washing my mind, my thoughts, and my understanding, and cleansing me of the pollution of this world and any of the Accuser’s lies. It was like a baptism of the mind that was renewing me and imparting the thoughts of heaven— which are His thoughts.
I knew that this was not only for me but was an invitation to each son and daughter to come to the river of grace and be baptized with the water that flows from the wounds of grace.
There has been a fierce battle over the minds of believers with attack after attack by the Accuser of the Brethren and his cohorts to cause our thoughts and perspectives to be bound to earth rather than heaven. It is time for a washing and baptism into the grace that cleanses us and renews (transforms, aligns, purifies, resets) our minds.
The Lord is inviting us to come into the river of His grace and love that flows from Heaven so that we can be transformed from earthly thoughts that cause earthly perspectives into heavenly thoughts that create heavenly pathways to walk in His ways. This baptism will cause your very affections to suddenly be set on things above rather than the things of this earth.
I heard the Spirit say, “There has been a great battle over the affections of God’s people. Victory through grace is being offered to My people to wash and heal the wounds that have been afflicted upon their minds to rob Me of their affections.”
If this is you, the Lord is standing in this river that flows from His Throne of Grace— He is inviting you to come and be washed, healed, and renewed. He will restore and return your affections to the things above!
“Seek the Lord while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way And the unrighteous man his thoughts; And let him return to the Lord, And He will have compassion on him, And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:6-9
The Lord’s compassion is stirred toward you! If you have been battling old thoughts or ways that have caused you to feel like you’ve lost ground or lost your pure affections— He wants to remind you that He has great mercy to ABUNDANTLY pardon. Though we, as humans, choose to forgive but struggle to forget— we must remember that the Lord forgives and then (immediately) no longer remembers our sins, failures, or shortcomings. He forgets or erases the remembrance as far as the East is from the West. This enables you to quickly return with all of your affections and heart back to the Lord without shame or stain.
And I will always guide you and satisfy you with good things. I will keep you strong and well. You will be like a garden that has plenty of water, like a spring of water that never runs dry.” Isaiah 58:11
“God has a constantly flowing river whose sparkling streams bring joy and delight to his people. His river flows right through the city of God Most High, into his holy dwelling places.” Psalms 46:4 TPT
