Challenging the Prophets of Baal

During the days of Elijah, there was a lot of darkness in the land of Israel. They suffered years of drought, famine, and theft of their properties at the hands of Ahab and Jezebel. (1 Kings 16-18)

 

It was during this time that the current government of the day was promoting Baal worship throughout the land and had set up the Asherah. It is important to note that these two gods were called the gods of fertility and that they highlighted an inordinate amount of sexual behavior in their followers.

 

While that all happened in one of Israel’s darkest hours of scripture, something similar is happening in America today. This generation is pressed to be hyper-sexualized by all of the systems of government, media, and even the school systems that they attend.

 

However, just like God raised up Elijah to turn the hearts of Israel back to God, I believe that the Holy Spirit is Raising Up prophetic voices all across this land. These voices will not only stand up against the tyranny of these principalities in the Spirit realm, but they’ll begin turning the hearts within the nations back to Jesus Christ!

 

While Elijah believed himself alone to fight against these forces at work in his nation, God reminded him in the cave that He still had 7000 men who had not bowed their knees to Baal! (1 Kings 19:18)

 

I don’t believe there are only 7000 in America that are in this position, I believe there are many more here today who will not only rise up to confront this, but they will begin to speak the Word of the Lord with power and authority which is going to challenge the enemy’s subterfuge and deception!

 

Just as Elijah challenged all of the Prophets of Baal, God is raising up modern-day Prophets that will challenge these false Prophets of Baal and Asherah (fertility gods) and not only destroy their altars from American society but also turn the hearts of this nation back to Jesus Christ.

 

The real Prophets of God follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, listen only to the Word of God, cannot be bought for a price, and Know Him Who has existed from the beginning (1 John 2:13). These Prophets, Who Know their God shall be strong and do exploits by the Promptings of the Holy Spirit (Daniel 11:32), as they gain in influence in the world around them.

 

These Prophets have learned to be IN the world, but not OF the world because they refuse to conform to the world or its systems. Rather they have chosen to be Transformed as they have allowed the Holy Spirit to give them Heaven’s perspective in the place of the world’s perspective (Romans 12:2, 1 Corinthians 2:16).

 

There is coming a Challenge from the Real Prophets of our day to those false Prophets of this generation and as we have learned from History, God is the only One Who Answered!

 

Whether it’s the government, the media, or the other aspects of our society that are twisting truths into lies like the devil does, know this:

 

THE PROPHETS ARE COMING, NOT ARMED WITH SWORDS OR GUNS, BUT ARMED WITH THE WORD OF THE LORD, WHICH IS MORE POWERFUL THAN ANY EARTHLY WEAPONS OUT THERE!
