Recently, over the course of several days, I just kept hearing this phrase repeated in my spirit, “Buckle up, buckle up, buckle up.” So in the place of prayer, I began seeking the Lord and asking Him why this phrase kept coming back to me. Then the Lord spoke to me and said, “Tell My people to buckle up.” Then all of a sudden, I had a vision.
In the vision, I began to see multiple times over the course of my life when because I was buckled up, I was kept safe. I first saw a time when I was a young boy riding in one of my dad’s trucks through a cattle pasture. We were going very fast and it was a bumpy ride but I was buckled up so I made it where we were going without getting hurt. The next part of my vision was from another time when I was a young man riding with one of my friends in an old Jeep through a pasture. The ride was bumpy and we were going too fast. Yet again, though I was buckled up, so I was safe. Then I saw a time when I was a little bit older and I was driving down some old dirt roads, again going too fast, and I slid off of the road but because I was buckled in I didn’t get hurt. Finally, I saw myself riding a ride at Disney World several years ago. In this particular ride, there are dinosaurs chasing after the ride vehicle you are in and it’s a very bumpy, rough ride. However, yet again, because I was buckled in I didn’t get hurt and rode the entire ride through until the end.
I believe this is such a clear prophetic picture of the season we are in right now as the body of Christ. In the natural, it may appear as if the darkness and principalities of the enemy that are raging war over our nation are winning. This is not true, my friends! In America, and really the nations of the world, in this season God is moving. Things are happening for the Kingdom of God at an accelerated rate. There is chaos and great warfare happening in the spiritual realm but don’t forget who has already won the victory! But those who are buckled in, those who refuse to give in to fear or worry will come through this difficult season safe and victorious. The Word of God says that we are in this world but we’re not of this world. Remembering this is more critical in this hour than ever before.
I believe over the next few months, September and October, we will be in for a rough ride. In the next few months, there will be an intense shaking and acceleration that may rattle some. However, you are to be buckled up and strapped in with God, standing in faith, and setting your face like flint. When you build history with God, when you’ve gone through hard times, when you’ve gone through trying seasons, you know how to maintain your stability with God and keep moving forward despite opposition. So cling to the faithfulness of God in this season. Remember His faithfulness to you over the years you have walked with Him. And buckle up, because God is about to do something so powerful in your life and in this nation!
I want to encourage you today, from the Lord, you are going to be okay. I can tell you from experience, you’re going to be okay. There are many people talking about different things, spewing out doom and gloom, and giving in to fear. Don’t let this shake you in this season. The Kingdom of God which you belong to cannot be shaken. So in the shaking, just buckle up and stay in there with the Lord. Make sure you are consistent in the Word and in prayer. When you keep your eyes set upon the Lord you will be overwhelmed by His peace and His authority. This is where you will draw strength to endure and remain in the upcoming season. It is crucial that you stay rooted and grounded in the Lord in this season. We are in for a bumpy ride as we speed toward God’s prophetic destiny for us, for His remnant, and for the nations. So, buckle up!
