The LORD woke me one morning recently with both a scripture and a picture.
I saw a large venue, holding probably 4000-5000 people. They were worshipping the LORD.
I was a little alarmed to see smoke swirling round — yet there was no Fire, just smoke.
It didn’t smell like smoke either, and the people were so lost in their worship that it made no impression upon them.
The band was quite loud, but the people’s voices were louder. The more they sang and worshipped, the denser the smoke became.
Eventually, everything was hidden by the smoke, and the presence of God became so tangible you could almost touch it, and people were seemingly overcome by His presence as the singing died away, and they all prostrated themselves on the floor.
Some were praying in tongues, but more were weeping gently.
I wept too, and was somewhat silent as I watched this scene unfold before me, but I eventually found my voice enough to ask what I was watching.
I heard this scripture:
“The trumpeters and musicians joined in unison to give praise and thanks to the LORD. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals, and other instruments, the singers raised their voices in praise to the LORD and sang: ‘He is good; his love endures for ever.’ Then the temple of the LORD was filled with the cloud, and the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the temple of God.” 2 Chronicles 5:13-14.
This Scripture was then quickly followed by this, which came into my spirit — “Remember, The LORD inhabits the praises of His People.
What you are seeing is that which I AM bringing to My People that remain faithful to Me, who keep their faith and their trust in Me.
This will be a hallmark of the coming great awakening — the presence of God as a thick cloud, and people unable to stand in it but worshipping on their faces!
You will see it very soon.
Remember, Pentecost Sunday is coming up on the 8th June!”
The LORD brought to mind testimonies of the Fire of God’s Presence. causing people outside the building to call the Fire Brigade, while those inside worshipped away, oblivious to the furore going on around them — until firemen rushed into the building only to be amazed by what they found.
“This has happened many times — and it will happen again!” says The LORD.
I see Angels with lighted, flaming torches approaching us, but waiting for the command to light the Fires.
I see them positioned beside some Churches, while many other churches have no Angel standing by them with their Torch.
I knew this meant that only a few would be affected by the awakening, while the majority would be spectators at best — opponents at worst.
I felt the LORD’s sadness at this, but also His excitement over those who received the awakening.
I believe this awakening has been going on slowly, quietly for two or three years, but it is now about to explode.
We think we have an idea of what it will be like but . . .
“However, as it is written: ‘What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived’ – the things God has prepared for those who love him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9.
Press in, keep declaring and interceding, keep believing, and keep your Faith.
This is coming very, very, soon.
Those who stand and remain standing will become, literally, the light on the hill to which all will be drawn.
Awakening and revival are on the way; they’ve started!
