Awakening and Arising

There is a hunger that only “more” of Jesus can satisfy.

Yes, the Lord is calling to His Beloved to arise and awaken. Every time I see the word “awake,” I am reminded of the revival called “The Great Awakening.”  A famous preacher from that time said this,

“Resolution One: I will live for God.  Resolution Two: If no one else does, I still will.”― Jonathan Edwards

What causes an awakening?

May your awakening breath blow upon my life until I am fully yours.  Breathe upon me with your Spirit wind.  Stir up the sweet spice of your life within me.  Spare nothing as you make me your fruitful garden. Hold nothing back until I release your fragrance.  Come walk with me as you walked with Adam in your paradise garden.  Come taste the fruits of your life in me.”  (Song of Songs 4: 16)

Lord, let this be our prayer each and every day.

Let’s look back to the Garden of Eden where God walked with mankind in the cool of the day.  This mental imagery depicts the intimacy of God with Adam and Eve, His children, now found in His Bride.

Her spirit has been made alive by the wind of the Spirit breathing upon her stirring a sweet spice of the life of Jesus within her.  She asks her beloved for more, saying, “Spare nothing as you make me your fruitful garden.”

Are we as Kingdom-minded lovers satisfied where we are at with Jesus?

Are we asking for more?

A Kingdom-minded lover is not satisfied with yesterday’s awakening but desires a fresh impartation of His Spirit upon her life, day after day.

  • There is a hunger that occurs that only “more” of Jesus can satisfy.
  • There is a longing for His presence, that only Jesus can fill.
  • There is a cry for “more,” that only comes when a human spirit has tasted and seen the goodness of the Lord.

Remember, the Bride’s request was for Jesus to “Blow upon my life until I am fully yours.”

His continual filling makes us full–fully His!   “He will fulfill the desire of those who fear and worship Him [with awe-inspired reverence and obedience] (Psalm 145: 19, Amp)

KINGDOM PRINCIPLE:  Always choose to walk full, not of ourselves, but full of Him!
