The Lord has recently been speaking to me about how to approach this particular season. I have sensed that something is stirring in the spirit and that we are entering a powerful and important time as the body of Christ so I have intentionally been asking the Lord for revelation and strategy. I believe we are in a season as the body of Christ where we have to be aggressive. This is not a season to hesitate, procrastinate, or sit idle.
This is a time where we must each set our faces like flint and aggressively pursue God, the things of God, and the Kingdom assignments He has for each of us.
Jesus says in Matthew 11:12, “From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force.” One of the key things we can do in this aggressive season is to shift our thinking and begin to elevate what we are meditating on. The best place for us to align ourselves with the Lord in this way is to spend that daily time with God in prayer.
It is important to really lean into the Lord and rely on divine wisdom, knowledge instruction, and insight in this hour. God is looking for those who are ready to wholeheartedly go after all that He has for them with all that they have. This is a season for full surrender and devoted obedience to the voice of the Lord. So be sure to spend that intentional and quality time in the Word of God and in the place of prayer so that you are listening to what the Holy Spirit is saying to you.
Mark 1:35 says, “And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, He went out and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.” Both my wife and I, and really our entire family, have dedicated ourselves to living a Mark 1:35 lifestyle.
Jesus got up very early in the morning before His followers or the crowds were there to call upon Him so that He could aggressively pursue the Father. It is critical for us to do the same, in every season and circumstance, but especially in seasons like the one we are currently stepping into.
In the Passion Translation, Matthew 6:33-34 says, “So above all, constantly seek God’s kingdom and his righteousness, then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly. Refuse to worry about tomorrow, but deal with each challenge that comes your way, one day at a time. Tomorrow will take care of itself.”
If we want to be a part of what God is doing in the earth and those that advance the Kingdom of God then we must aggressively seek God and pursue all of the dreams and destinies that God has given to each of us. When we seek the Kingdom of God, when we are looking for what God is saying and doing in everything we do then we will be focused on what He has for us right here and now. Many people are tripped up by worry and fear about the future or what may come next. However, if you will focus first on the Kingdom then you will be grounded in what God is doing in and through your life each day and find yourself living free from fear and worry.
Jeremiah 29:13 says, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” This is such a powerful promise God gives to us in this scripture. The key to finding the Lord and the fullness of what He has for you is to seek Him with all of your heart.
The word for heart here in this scripture is actually referencing both our spirit and our soul. God wants us to seek Him with all that we have, not only with our spirits but also our hearts (our emotions) and our minds (our thoughts). Many people don’t pursue the Lord with all of their minds because they are distracted by the things of this world and the things their natural eyes and minds can see. However, when we seek the Lord then our focus shifts, our spirits and our souls are aligned with Him and then we are able to aggressively pursue God and His Kingdom.
In this season, God is looking for those who are in aggressive pursuit of Him and His destiny for them. God wants to promote those willing to move forward and advance the Kingdom of God. God wants to give His sons and daughters influence in order to impact the earth with His power.
James 4:10 says, “Be willing to be made low before the Lord and he will exalt you!” Many want to be elevated just to be elevated. But that is not how the Kingdom works. We must be dead to our flesh and living in the spirit if we want to be elevated by the Lord. You can’t be puffed up in pride in this season. You’re going to have to be low in your spirit, someone who lives a laid-down life full of fasting and prayer.
We must be those who aggressively seek the Lord and have the right heart and mind to move forward in this season. So I want to encourage you to live set apart to the Lord. If you want to be used mightily by God then you must first become one that aggressively pursues Him. This is your season to go after all that God has placed in your heart without reservation or distractions. Be one that God can use to invade the earth with His presence and power. This is your season for aggressive pursuit!
