Recently, in a time of prayer, the Lord spoke to me and said, “Adjustments are coming.” I immediately thought of how a chiropractor performs an adjustment by moving things in the body that have become out of place back into perfect alignment. This kind of adjustment allows the body to function more holistically and everything functions properly. The person is able to move and act without being hindered anymore. I believe this is a prophetic picture of what God is doing in this season in order to prepare many to be used mightily by Him.
I believe the Lord is prompting many of us to deal with any unforgiveness, offense, lack of repentance, wrong beliefs and mindsets, insecurities, doubts, or anything that would keep us from being properly positioned for what He has placed in our hearts to do. I believe the Lord wants to adjust anything in us that is out of alignment with Him so that we can become perfectly aligned to His purpose for us in this season.
As I continued to pray and seek the Lord, He spoke to me again and said, “The adjustment is for your advancement.” The Lord will always prune us before we enter another season of fruitfulness. Many often welcome the comfort of the Holy Spirit but avoid the correction of the Holy Spirit. God is a good Father who not only affirms His children but also corrects us. Hebrews 12:6 says “For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and chastises every son whom He receives.” It’s important, especially in this season, that we embrace the pruning and correction from the Lord so that we can continue to be fruitful.
God is looking for those who can wisely steward the Kingdom assignments He has for them. Whenever God advances a believer it is not only to bless the individual but to also advance His Kingdom. Whenever you step into the favor and blessing of the Lord, it is never just for your own benefit. As Kingdom believers, part of our calling is to be blessed in order to bless those God places in our realms of influence.
This is a season where we each need to get before the Lord and allow Him to convict us of the things and areas of our lives where we need adjustments. I often encourage people I mentor or lead to aggressively address that one thing that keeps holding them back. For some, it is a sin cycle while others are held back by negative thinking or limiting beliefs. Some struggle with fear or insecurity. We all have areas where we need to adjust to the Word and will of God for our lives. Don’t let this season pass you by without genuinely surrendering whatever it is to the Lord that needs to be removed or adjusted in your life, mind, heart, or spirit. Those who are willing to make these adjustments will soon see the advancement come to them!
God will never launch us into an accelerated or advanced season unless we have first said yes to adjusting and realigning ourselves with Him. God is more concerned with the health and wealth of your spirit and soul than He is with your purpose or destiny. God can use anyone or anything to see His purposes prevail. God will never put you in a position where your gifting or calling could or would destroy you because He loves you. However, He uniquely designed you, your calling, and your giftings for a specific Kingdom purpose He desires to see you live out. So surrender to Him! Allow the Lord to fine-tune and adjust you so that He can advance you into the breathtaking destiny He has for you. Adjustments and advancements are coming, get ready for them!
