Kingdom believers have an advantage over others because when the principles taught in the Bible are applied to everyday life, supernatural things happen. What would your life look like if you completely gave everything you had to the Lord and applied every biblical principle to your life? It would be full of joy, abundance, peace, and success because the Lord desires to give these gifts to those who diligently seek him.
Just like anything, the more you practice something, the more proficient you become at it. The application of biblical principles is no different. For example, sowing and reaping is a biblical principle created by God to give us an opportunity to be blessed while also blessing others. If you continuously devote your financial first fruits to God, it goes from becoming “something you do” to “who you are”. This is the difference in saying “I tithed” and “I am a tither”. When you apply the principles of God to your life, it transforms you from the inside out.
Application requires action; James 2:17 says, “Thus, also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” NKJV. Sometimes, it can be difficult to change your old thinking patterns, but if you want to change your life to align with biblical principles, that is exactly where it starts. Read scripture every day and find ways that you can become more like Jesus and apply them! We are not called to live like the world; we are held to a higher standard. Take action and reframe your mind to the things of the kingdom, and then you will begin to see the fruit of faith plus action.
The key to living according to biblical principles relies solely on whether or not you decide to take action and begin to walk in a kingdom mindset. The world could never offer what the Kingdom of God has available to those who are passionately pursuing Christ. There is no greater joy and peace to be found than right in the middle of God’s will for your life.
