OPINION –
Emerging from the 34 St-Herald Square subway station underground I was met with a sea of kindred spirits in red, as energized as could be before 9 a.m. on a Sunday.
Fellow Patriot deplorables had gathered, some arriving in the wee hours of the brisk morning, to secure a spot in New York’s slice of history—President Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden.
A pair of men rolling a cloth wagon of assorted Trump hats sold me a red MAGA classic for $25 (My official campaign purchase was still in the mail.)
Pulling a camcorder out of my backpack, I bumped into a friend who told me he’d been outside MSG since 5 a.m.
“Hey, look—that’s Laura Loomer!” he pointed before disappearing back to his duties.
I was there on behalf of the New York Young Republican Club’s media committee to document their volunteer efforts. In the process, I was allowed press access with special floor clearance.
“Wonderful organization,” a woman from the Trump campaign gushed when she validated my credentials in the winding press line.
“Fake neeews!” an attendee-hopeful bellowed from across the street. We were waiting outside the venue to have our gear examined by Secret Service, or perhaps multiple of the various security organizations hired to secure President Trump’s apparently inflammatory rallies.
The premises for the entirety of the day would be stacked with both openly armed and concealed agents, public and private alike. “Keep your head on a swivel the whole time,” several Patriots on X had cautioned me ahead of time.
After at least two confirmed assassination attempts on President Trump and one attendee death this year, rally security measures are imperative but notwithstanding a cloud over the experience. We are harshly reminded that publicly supporting the modern Conservative Party is no longer safe.
Fake news
“Hey CNN!” the same man would repeatedly call to the line of press, challenging the Corrupt News Network to engage with various points of state-propagated disinformation. “Come onnnn, CNN!” he playfully taunted.
The cameraman who waited ahead of me had been contracted to film the event by FOX, so we were able to exchange a laugh.
Perhaps we were both amused because we know American citizens, at least those paying attention, have every right to be incensed at the blatant and deceitful propaganda sanctimoniously spewed by the once-esteemed legacy media networks and publications.
FOX, while undoubtedly playing a role of controlled opposition in the state media complex, still retains some free thinkers on staff who will occasionally stand to challenge false government narratives.
Even the fake news correspondents, who press tell me get boo’ed at every rally, receive special treatment at Trump’s events. It wasn’t until later that day I’d notice a familiar face—Kaitlan Collins with a reserved seat just behind me.
Collins, who rakes in something to the tune of $3M a year to disseminate government propaganda as a CNN anchor and former Chief White House Correspondent, was known to me for her infamous exchange on Stephen Colbert’s Late Show:
“I know you guys are objective over there, that you just report the news as it is,” the host starts, triggering an uproar in the audience.
“Was that supposed to be a laugh line?” Collins questions, to which Colbert quips truth with a guileless shrug: “It wasn’t supposed to be, but I guess it is!”
Violent fantasies
Because press with equipment are required to be in place at the rally early, we were largely shielded from the madness that was allegedly unfolding outside the Garden as the media signaled for anger and unrest.
Presumed liberal loyalists, revved up by the rhetoric of key Democratic players—Harris, Walz, Clinton, and the like—descended on the rally to protest what the Democrats had, in a carefully-timed ploy, coined a “hate rally.”
Ms. Clinton had likened Trump to Hitler in an interview with none other than Kaitlan Collins, asserting he was “re-enacting” a pro-Nazi rally held at the same venue in 1939. Clinton conveniently forgot about all the Democratic events held at MSG in decades since, including a Democratic National Convention. She also made a point to describe MAGA attendees as “fascists” and “Nazis” to add salt to the wound.
Ironically, the modern Conservative Party has amassed a strong Jewish voter base as people take note of the Democrats’ willingness to fund both sides of the war in the Middle East. Some viewers pointed out an Israel flag displayed by an attendee at the rally.
President Trump himself recognized the Republican Party as “becoming the party of inclusion” during his speech.
“Whether you are a Republican, Democrat, or Independent, Conservative, or Liberal, I am inviting you to the join the greatest political movement in the history of our country,” he said to the masses lit under stripes of red and blue.
This sentiment we’ve seen is true, as more and more Americans (myself included) wake up to the Democrats’ constant lies and division tactics. “The left left me” is a common tagline former Democrats use to describe their seemingly rightward movement and place in the MAGA movement.
While MSNBC aired live footage of the rally alongside media from the 1939 Nazi event, Trump reinforced that he wants to be a President for people of all races, creeds, and religions.
MAGA Coachella
Before Trump’s hour plus remarks, the rally boasted a lineup of speakers that I could only describe as “MAGA Coachella” for their prominence in the real-life American Avengers movement: Alina Habba, Byron Donalds, Hulk Hogan, Vivek Ramaswamy, Dr. Phil, Tulsi Gabbard, RFK Jr., and Elon Musk to name a few.
I was particularly enthused to spot Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene between press interviews, who I thanked for speaking out on weather modification in the wake of Hurricane Helene.
“Heyyy,” she replied, likely appreciative to hear a response beyond the onslaught of ridicule and pushback she’d garnered from rabid conspiracy deniers. “It’s government-funded!”
Garbage discrimination
Yes, Tony Hinchcliffe warmed up the crowd with his roast that did not inspire many to laugh. Of course, the media, who spent the rally lurking for sound bites that could be misconstrued to support the whole Nazi narrative, pounced on the opportunity to broadcast a clip of the Kill Tony star calling Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage.”
Democrats did not express the same outrage when illegitimate-President Biden called Trump supporters garbage shortly thereafter, or especially egregiously when government officials attempted to alter the record of his comment in White House transcripts by adding an apostrophe, as if the insult only referred to a single supporter (Hinchcliffe).
As much as I winced at Hinchcliffe’s lewd jokes, I have to give him credit. Like Trump, he used a provocative statement to draw attention to a real and neglected ongoing issue. As it turns out, Puerto Rico does have a chronic garbage problem, and funds allocated to resolve the issue are alleged to have mysteriously evaporated in the government exchange—a tale as old as time.
Regardless of intent, it was already too late for Hinchcliffe as the words left the comedian’s mouth, and MSM tuned-in liberals were soon after seething that MAGA dared to put their fascism on full display in deep blue New York City.
“This isn’t hate?” someone DM’ed me with a clip of the joke. The message came in response to me calling out MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski’s apparent disbelief that so many would gather for a “hate rally.” “Maybe that’s because it wasn’t a hate rally, Mika,” I said.
Red wave incoming
I’m not sure when roasters became reputable sources of public sentiment, but I suppose we can thank the other event speakers for not giving the media complex much else “hateful” rhetoric to play with in their mass manipulation games.
No amount of word-twisting and gaslighting can stop the red tidal wave of the awakened.
“This does not feel like second-place energy in here tonight,” speaker Vivek Ramaswamy observed. Many who took the podium that afternoon noted the sheer feat of decking out a 20,000-person NYC venue in red MAGA hats, plus the tens of thousands who watched on big screens outside.
This is impressive by any account, but especially in a city so historically liberal and Democrat-controlled that residents took to the street in droves to protest Trump’s first presidency in pink “pussy hats.”
It’s clearer than ever that MAGA is the populist movement of our time, garnering a level of enthusiasm that’s not unlike JFK in the ‘60s. Perhaps that’s why the powers that be keep trying to assassinate Trump.
Projected hatred
MAGA happiness is seemingly incomprehensible to the supposed party of joy. Take, for example, the group chat I was added to the day after the rally. The introductory text included screenshots from my Instagram story and mocked my political affiliation.
“She looks like a zombie!” a former roommate chided to a group of unknown numbers, referring to a selfie of me in my new hat.
“Oh man, what is wrong with her and all the others who can’t accept the truth!” a stranger replied.
The media-educated public does not seem to question the divisive rhetoric put forth by their leaders, but rather immediately jumps on board to carry out their falsely-justified bullying campaigns with such widespread synergy that it almost feels like a coordinated attack.
Indeed it is somewhat of an orchestrated effort, a product of years of media brainwashing that inclines people to assume erroneous and maliciously planted MAGA stereotypes over the established characters of Trump supporters in their lives.
Seeking unity
Unlike the vitriol many assume encompasses Trump rallies, I was even surprised by the prolific spiritual undertones and several candid speeches that highlighted God, prayer, faith, and kindness.
Dr. Phil gave an especially moving word about the need to unite as a country and end political bullying.
“We need to let people know this is over in America. We’re going to unify this country, we’re going to go out and lead by example,” he implored. “If your neighbor wants to vote the other way, say ‘Fine, go vote the other way, I’ll love you anyway.’”
His speech was carefully inclusive, but Trump supporters can read the subtext: We are called to be the bigger people, to stand calmly against those who spit in our faces and assume the worst of us. We are asked to tolerate those who do not tolerate us, who’d rather believe half the country to be vile, wicked, immoral, racist, and more.
Everyone who has donned one of those leftist-triggering red hats knows the score—a person can walk the street safely in Harris apparel, but repping Trump is to put oneself at risk.
Welcome to the Nazi Party
As Election Day nears, videos of liberals caught on camera harassing MAGA folk are prolific and downright terrifying. Some of these people seem possessed, as if a deranged state consumes them and saps any sense of rationality.
From stealing flags, destroying yard signs, and keying cars, to harassing neighboring diners, outright berating people on the street, and spewing hateful insults like fascist, bigot, and Nazi to neighbors, we’ve already seen it all. Known Conservatives have even been kicked out of Harris rallies.
“Welcome to the Nazi party!” a seasoned Republican said to me in jest, embracing the absurdity.
Accuse your opponent of what you are doing…
Some describe our current state of affairs as a “clown world” and often I have to agree. In our modern society, what’s up is down, what’s right is wrong, what’s moral is immoral, and what’s sane is insane.
Opposite Day is every day when the tyrannical government and state-controlled media is telling us that they are the underdogs.
They say they are protecting America from a tyrant as they themselves hold stolen office and neglect American citizens to ship taxpayer dollars offshore.
They tell us they are for the people as they demonize and vilify half the country.
They inflame and inspire their followers to violence against innocent MAGA supporters as they fear-monger that Trump will harm his political opponents.
They soil our rally as a parade of hate, while our speakers discuss God, inclusion, unity, love, and unalienable human rights.
They screech that we are discriminatory bigots as MAGA collectively cheers for increasing numbers of minority voters jumping on the Trump train.
They accuse us of being fascists as we advocate for free speech, the elimination of censorship, and the protection of constitutional liberties for all.
A quote that has been attributed to Saul Alinsky, author of
, appears to advise the Democratic Party:“Accuse your opponent of what only you are doing, as you are doing it, to create confusion, cloud the issue, and inoculate voters against any evidence of your guilt.”
A tale of two realities
America’s split consciousness presents a considerable challenge to any efforts to unify.
One-half of the country lives under a manufactured spell, intentionally programmed to hate the opposition, much like the Cultural Revolution of the Chinese Communist Party.
The other half, the ones who have become wise to the corruption, are silenced and denied by those who insist the fictional reality is the objective truth, for it’s all they know.
The few Harris voters who are still willing to talk to me (rationally), will insist that I awaken to their viewpoint. The thing is, I’m a Conservative convert. I know what their side is about because I come from their side.
I dutifully fell in line with the Democrat Party’s commands over the past several years: I marched against Trump and for George Floyd, I feared “climate change,” I raised money for the BLM movement, I masked, tested, and vaxxed for Covid against my will, and especially, I disliked Trump and Republicans for reasons I couldn’t rationally understand.
Until all Americans break from the Democrats’ spell, MAGA will have no choice but to stand tall through the hate, vitriol, and attacks. We fundamentally cannot be understood by those so committed to misunderstanding us.
Though hope is not lost.
“I do feel bad about what’s happening to you guys,” an Independent told me the other day.
That’s a good start.
