One of the things that the Holy Spirit does when He’s in your life, is that He Enlightens the Eyes of Your Understanding. In layman’s terms, that means He gives you Revelation Knowledge about Jesus Christ, The Father in Heaven, and who you actually are in Him through the Word of God.
That Enlightening of your Understanding gives you the ability to see in ways that you were previously unable to do. The Word “Enlighten” means, “To Shed Rays of Light Upon” so that you can truly see in ways that you never have before.
“By having the EYES OF YOUR HEART FLOODED WITH LIGHT, so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints (His set-apart ones),” Ephesians 1:18
Fresh Vision from the Lord comes when the Holy Spirit brings each of us direct Revelation through the Word of God (which is Jesus Christ John 1:1) so that we are able to see who we really are and why we’re really here.
“May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love, That you may have the power and be strong TO APPREHEND AND GRASP WITH ALL THE SAINTS [God’s devoted people, the experience of that love] WHAT IS THE BREADTH AND LENGTH AND HEIGHT AND DEPTH [OF IT];” Ephesians 3:17-18
Fresh Vision gives you, not only the Revelation Knowledge of Jesus Christ and your identity in Him, but it reveals aspects of God’s Love that goes way beyond just knowledge. It becomes an experiential thing because Fresh Vision (that really comes from the Holy Spirit) ultimately ends in a Divine Encounter between you and God Himself.
The most powerful Revelation that you can ever truly have from Vision is to be able to see Him just as He really is and to become like Him!
“Beloved, we are [even here and] now God’s children; it is not yet disclosed (made clear) what we shall be [hereafter], but we know that when He comes and is manifested, WE SHALL [as God’s children] RESEMBLE AND BE LIKE HIM, FOR WE SHALL SEE HIM JUST AS HE [REALLY] IS.” 1 John 3:2
“Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because AS HE IS, SO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD.” 1 John 4:17
Real Heavenly Vision doesn’t just show you something that you didn’t know before, it transforms your life from the inside out. By the Power of the Holy Spirit as you Encounter His Presence and you are changed from Glory to Glory in Him!
The Word “Vision” comes from the Greek root word “Horao” and it means “to stare at, to experience or appear before.” Fresh Vision isn’t just something that you see before you, it is something that you directly EXPERIENCE!
The Holy Spirit is going to bring many of His Sons and Daughters into an increase of Visions and Dreams (just like Joel prophesied), but it’s not just going to be Informational it’s going to be Experiential!
Fresh Vision is coming from the Presence of God, for those who are seeking His Face in this generation, because it is through that pursuit that they will be changed and transformed by His Power as they behold Him!
“Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear and heed you. Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:12-13
