Holy Ground

Many years ago, in one of the first actual speaking engagements that the Lord prompted me to do, I reluctantly agreed to do it because I was told that it was going to be a “Small Group.” Part of the reason that that’s important is because I had a horrible case of stage fright.

 

While there are many people who don’t like public speaking, this was worse than that, because if anyone ever asked me to speak publicly I would freeze in place the moment someone gave me a microphone.

 

So when the Holy Spirit began to show me what I’d be doing while serving Him, speaking in front of sometimes large groups of people, I actually laughed out loud at it!

 

I told Him, “Oh Lord that’s funny, You obviously haven’t been paying attention to me lately, because anytime I get in front of people, nothing happens because nothing actually comes out of my mouth!”

 

But He said to me, “Daniel, I’m not asking you to operate in your abilities while doing it, I’m asking you to allow My Abilities to Overshadow You while you move in obedience to My Voice.”

 

While I didn’t understand what that meant initially, I decided that I’d trust Him and promised Him that I’d try. It wasn’t too long after that, that He had me accept this small group gathering at a church a few hours away.

 

It was during that meeting that He first told me, “Take your shoes off and empty your pockets, because this is going to be Holy Ground when my ability comes Upon you so that you can be My Witness to these people!”

 

What He said to me sounded like a combination of what He declared to Moses before the burning bush (Exodus 3:5) and what Jesus Christ told the disciples just before they entered the upper room at Pentecost (Acts 1:8).

 

As I began to do what the Holy Spirit had instructed me to do, and I stepped into the middle of that crowd filled with ex-drug addicts and ex-alcoholics, I felt like my body got hit by a lightning bolt as the Holy Spirit’s abilities came upon me and He replaced my inabilities with His Supernatural Abilities!

 

I felt like I was watching someone else speaking crazy words of knowledge and Prophecy over a group of people, THAT I KNEW NOTHING ABOUT, and watching His Power Supernaturally Transforming their lives in front of me!

 

Maybe today you’re looking at your abilities, or lack thereof, and telling the Lord that you just can’t do it. What you need to realize is that God didn’t call you so that He could use your abilities, He called you so that He could Supercharge your life with His!

 

This has never been about anyone’s Natural abilities, but it has always been about Jesus Christ within us and among us to Supernaturally See His Kingdom Come and His Will be done, in us, through us, and around us!

 

If you’ll never fail to give Him the Glory, and you’ll submit your life to His Presence in obedience, He’ll Supercharge Your Life with His Power! Remember that your life needs to be Holy Ground!
