We are nobody’s savior.
If someone tries to elevate you, follow you, and hangs on your every word – RUN.
Honor is one thing.
Becoming someone’s idol is another.
We share the HOPE OF GLORY — JESUS.
We share the PRINCE OF PEACE — JESUS.
We are the hands and feet of – JESUS.
We share the gospel of – JESUS.
But we are… NOT JESUS.
We carry His Holy Spirit.
People who are desperate often make the mistake of elevating the messenger.
We must recognize this when it happens and always point them to THE KING OF GLORY.
It’s not my message.
It’s not my testimony.
It’s His.
It’s NOT my ministry.
It’s the ministry of JESUS CHRIST.
Sometimes God’s children fall into the trap of needing to be seen, recognized, heard, and even adored.
It’s a trap.
It’s an unhealed part of ourselves that desires to be seen.
But we are seen and radically loved by The One who deserves the glory.
Falling into this trap doesn’t make you “bad”.
It simply means you’re still wounded.
But… it is a tactic of the enemy.
The enemy can’t attack our spirit, so he appeals to our flesh.
False humility runs rampant.
We must stay humble.
We must ensure we are healed.
The gospel doesn’t need a twist or new translation.
We don’t need flashy lights, and a bunch of selfies of us preaching.
I’m pretty sure the Apostle Paul wouldn’t have been much of a “selfie” guy.
We just need to walk in our authority – it’s that simple.
Even our authority is not our own.
Our authority is Him in us.
We just need Jesus.
They just need Jesus.
Jesus.
Jesus.
Jesus.
