The words, ‘Resurrection life’ conjure up pictures of the dead in Christ rising, of Jesus Himself rising from the dead.
If I’m honest, for me it conjures up people who’ve experienced death — yet who live today.
I’ve met three such in recent years. I also knew well one whom Jesus asked a while ago, “Are you ready to come home?”
Yet he answered, “No LORD! You told me of the work I have to do here — and I’m not finished.”
That’s ‘Resurrection Life’ as most Christians would define it, but The LORD had been showing me that there is much more than human life being resurrected.
Dead people are, of course, the headliners. Any resurrection miracle makes, if not the world’s headlines, it makes Church testimony headlines.
Having said that, a good friend was ministering in Africa in a Church famous locally for resurrections.
I don’t remember the exact number but, at the time, it was some 20 to 30! My friend asked the pastor, “What’s it like having a resurrection in the Church?”
The pastor looked a bit perplexed, then he smiled, and said just one word, “Normal!”
However, The LORD showed me that He will be resurrecting dead or dying Ministries in these coming months. Ministries that have waned — maybe even virtually disappeared — will be resurrected by The LORD.
People will be revitalized. Giftings will be resurrected and enhanced, and the once-dead or dying Ministry will once again bring great Glory to God.
Almost as a corollary to the Revived Ministries, there will be resurrected dead or dying Churches.
Where Ministries are restored, they will enhance the life, even resurrect the life of The Church or Churches either which they are associated!
People will shout “Revival!” but, if they are listening to The Holy Spirit, then they will more accurately shout “Resurrection!”
“No more will My People chase down dead ends!” says The LORD.
“Everywhere they have previously run into a dead end, that dead end will be resurrected and producing a Harvest!”
The LORD speaks LIFE to His people and LIFE to His Remnant Church!
