Surrender It All

Every person has that one thing that is holding them back from moving forward.

Recently, in prayer, the Lord spoke to me and said, “Surrender.” As I continued to pray, the Lord spoke to me a second time and said, “Surrender it all.” As I heard the Lord say this, I could see a vision of those words and the word “it” was 2 to 3 times bigger than the other two words. I knew the Lord was showing me this to emphasize and highlight the meaning of the word “it” in this prophetic word. I continued to pray into and over this word over the next several days and the Lord began to expound upon it. I knew it was a prophetic word significant and specific for this season.

I don’t know what your “it” is in this season. I don’t know what it may be that the Lord is wanting you to surrender. However, I do know from spending time in prayer with the Lord over this word that this is a season to truly surrender all to God. He is looking for those in this season that will relinquish whatever it is that they have yet to surrender to Him in order to step more fully into His plans and purposes for them.

Your “it” may be many things, or it may be just that one thing that you have yet to give to the Lord. It could be unforgiveness, fear, complacency, or insecurity that the Lord is asking you to surrender. It may be a wrong mindset or a lie of the enemy that has limited you in past seasons. Whatever it is that the Lord is placing His finger on in this season, be quick to surrender it to Him!

Every person has that one thing that is holding them back from moving forward. Don’t allow that one thing to rob you of the acceleration and expansion God wants to bring you into in this hour. I believe that because there is no limit to God that there should be nothing that limits or hinders His people! Surrender it all to God in this season and watch what the Lord is able to do in and through your life for the Kingdom of God.

Matthew 7:7-8 says, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” This is a season where we must each be bold enough to seek God, expecting to find Him. We must boldly knock and keep on knocking until God opens the door. If you are ever going to see the fulfillment of the prophetic promises over your life, you’ve got to become relentless. Be relentless in prayer, be relentless in seeking and be relentless in your surrender.

Galatians 2:20 says, “My old identity has been co-crucified with Christ and no longer lives. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives his life through me—we live in union as one!” Those that apply faith and action to this scripture will be those that surrender it all. Some believers have only crucified parts of themselves and continue to cling to those singular things that they have yet to surrender.

The time for holding back from the Lord is far gone. It is more important now than ever to be truly crucified, wholly crucified with Christ, so that He can live through us. Your life is not your own anymore, my friends. As God gave me this prophetic word, I first responded to Him before I began to see what He had to say to anyone else. I have found in my walk with God that if I get in that place of prayer with Him every single day, I die to myself daily in His presence. This is exactly what God is asking of us in this season. Get alone with Him, allow His Spirit to work in and through us, and surrender it all!
