The season we are in is a season of advancement, building, and acceleration in everything you do. Since this is a season of advancing, you are going to be able to produce more, by doing less. This means that God is going to multiply the work of your hands so you aren’t weary because a principle often forgotten is the principle of rest.
When I would feel so overwhelmed with a million things to do, the holy spirit would tell me to close my computer and go pray. After I returned to my desk, the things I was worried about had been taken care of. The holy spirit spoke to me at that moment and said, “I can do more with you in the place of prayer than with you working.” This does not mean that work is not important; God blesses the work of our hands, but it becomes difficult when you do not take time to rest and just receive from God.
If you are well rested, then the work that you do will be sharper, better, and have greater impact than work done while you are worn and exhausted. There is an optimal balance between prayer, resting, and work that leads to high productivity and a better relationship with the Lord. Each and every morning, I spend time in prayer because it sets the trajectory of the rest of my day. You can do all the work you want to in the natural, but it will never compare to what God is able to do with supernatural increase.
