You are Loved

His love for you is so constant, consistent, and complete that it reaches into eternity.

Yes, my friends you are not only loved YOU ARE loved with an everlasting love.  That word everlasting indicates forever!  That’s what the verse says in its entirety, “I have loved you with an everlasting love, I have drawn you with loving-kindness.”  Jeremiah 31: 3

The Lord continues to love us unconditionally, no matter what we have done.

He doesn’t look at our ugly past, our shortcomings, or even our mistakes to merit how much we have earned His love.

We don’t have to earn His love at all.

In fact, if we look at the end of the verse, He says He has drawn us with His love and His kindness.

This entire chapter in Jeremiah is about Israel being restored.

If you are in need of restoration, God is able to restore you.

Here’s what He promised:  “I will build you up again and you will be rebuilt…again you will take up your tambourines and go out to dance with the joyful.”  Jeremiah 31: 4

Dancing with tambourines may not be your forte, but the principle of being joyful once again is there.  The word “again” is repeated twice signifying that there will be a time of being made afresh and anew.

Tambourines in Biblical days were used in celebration, especially following a military victory as they danced thanking the Lord for His triumph.

If you are still not convinced fully of God’s love that is everlasting, let this next verse convince you:

See how very much our Father loves us, for He calls us His children, and that is what we are!” 1 John 3: 1

We are called His children, and we are loved.

You are God’s son and daughter.  His love for you is always present and never wavers nor changes.  He is constant and consistent, not like man, who does change and is inconsistent.

His love for you is so constant, consistent, and complete that it reaches into eternity.

You may still ask how does God love?

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.”  John 3: 16
